Sinossi

An American captain in post-WWII Germany must stop a criminal conspiracy by his fellow officers in this historical thriller by the author of The Losing Role.  Germany, May, 1945. With the war just over, Capt. Harry Kaspar is about to take a new posting in the US occupation—running a Bavarian town named Heimgau. When Harry loses the command to a rival, he’ll do almost anything to win the job back.    Then Harry discovers a horrific scene: three German men tortured and murdered. Solving the crime could teach the locals about American justice—and help him reclaim his posting. But as Harry’s quest for the killer leads him back to American officers, he uncovers a criminal network plundering the war-torn land for all its worth. Now, for justice to mean anything at all, Harry must fight back.

WHAT DO NORTH KOREAN NUKES, SOMALI PIRATES, HELICOPTERS, JET AIRPLANES, SUBMARINES, AIRCRAFT CARRIERS, AND SAVANNAH HAVE IN COMMON? ANSWER: CAJUN
Ethan Breaux, call sign Cajun, has been flying charters out of Bristol, England for two years. His life as a civilian pilot has been going very well after many years of flying Special Ops missions in Army helicopters. Cajun is sought out by the CIA to coordinate then execute a super clandestine military style operation into Mogadishu, Somalia to retrieve a North Korean nuclear weapon hijacked by Pirates at the behest of Hezbollah Islamic terrorist.
He reluctantly agrees to take on the dangerous mission only after learning that Savannah, the love of his life, is being held on the outskirts of Ethiopia. She is a nurse and has been taken along with an Ethiopian nurse by Somali Islamic soldiers to treat their wounded.
Cajun brings together all his Special Operations buddies from the old days. The U.S. Government provides everything needed in the way of military helicopters because the U.S. cannot set foot back in Somalia after the failed Battle of Mogadishu of 1993. The story moves from England to Oman, then into the Cradle of Mankind in the depths of darkest Africa.
The realism in the execution of multiple military skirmishes involving air to ground firefights could only be written by someone who has pulled the trigger.

As a night worker, he definitely knows more about their nocturnal habits and particularly their appetites. So, when the new arrival, a quiet and reflective Tibetan worker by the name of Pema, makes an odd and deeply gruesome request of Bill, he is just the right man for the job.The zoo, after dark, it seems, can be a deeply disturbing place.

Pax West was only four years old when he nearly killed another child.
Extensive physical and behavioral testing revealed a unique genetic anomaly that might explain his extreme responses to external threats. Specifically, his ventromedial prefrontal cortex – the part of the brain that governs emotions, morals, and ethics – was missing. Neurologists had never encountered such a condition. Most believed he wouldn't survive to adulthood. Some even suggested he should be locked up – or euthanized while there was still time.
But Dr. Alan Kepler, a leading neurologist working with the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, had a different idea.
If Pax West could be tamed, he would become the perfect weapon – the very tip of the spear the CIA used to keep America safe. Could he be taught to override his impulses and develop an unwavering sense of duty to his country?
By eighteen, Pax became a Navy SEAL. By twenty-four, he was recruited by a clandestine arm of the CIA to become a Ghost – a man who didn’t exist. His honor and duty to his country were now hardwired into his very being. He lived to serve, finding purpose in his new moral compass: doing whatever it took to protect his country.
But what happens when a mission goes wrong, and Pax discovers that the very man he's been taking orders from for years has betrayed the nation he's sworn to protect?
Pax must do what he’s always done: find and neutralize the threat. But what if saving this enemy’s life is the only way to prevent World War III from erupting?
