Spid The Spider Has a Day Off is the first book in the Spid The Spider series. In this book Spid meets some interesting and wonderful characters including his girlfriend Bid and Herman the Harvestman amongst others. In the story Spid doesn't know how to spend his day off - until, after a big breakfast, he has an idea. It's perfect. At least it should have been. But as so often happens for Spid, things don't go as planned ... This audiobook features two songs, 'I'm Having Fun' and 'Wibble Wobble'. You can also find music videos of the songs at https://spidthespider.com and https://www.youtube.com/spidthespider. Spid is a lowly spider, who wants to better himself, write songs, and marry his girlfriend Bid, though he is prone to hilarious mishaps mostly of his own making. He is hard-working, cool, and a role model for young children. As well as encouraging children to read and love books, Spid's adventures also teach valuable life lessons, including determination and what psychologists call a 'growth mindset' (desire to better oneself and succeed), the importance of friendship, and sustainability. With very creative prose, Spid's adventures are fun for parents, and teachers to read to, and with, their children. They present lots of opportunities to invest dramatic licence thus helping adults and children interact and engage. The humour works at multiple levels from silly and slapstick to more sophisticated wordplay and concepts. Thus, children will discover more and enjoy reading the stories multiple times. YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES & JOHN WATSON - The case of the stolen Pianoforte.
This completely new story I have written involves the 10 year old boys who will be the great detective Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson, his assistant, when they grow up, this is their formative years where they perfect their skills before adulthood on what my appear to be inconsequential subjects, but the principle remains the same.
This is just one of an extensive series I will be publishing as audio books in the very near future and I do hope you enjoy this first one, and its only $1.25 cents, all subsequent will remain at that price as I would not like price to be a barrier to your enjoyment.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes sets the scene, so to speak, a violin Holme's musical instrument of choice and is energetic and the closing music ends the tale on a more restrained mode and only about 1 minute.
The story itself runs to about 5 minutes 30 seconds and is of course a short story, it is read in my own voice. The story involves the the disappearance of a PianoForte piano used to teach the son, Marmaduke, the son of a wealthy industrialist called Sir Edwin Warwick who lives in a grand mansion within sight of Buckingham Palace in London in the late 1900's. Marmaduke had grown weary of piano lessons and arranged for two older boys to take it away unbeknown to his father. Needless to say Holmes solves the mystery, recovers the piano back to Sir Edwin and is handsomely rewarded and goes onto his next case.
The stories are designed to be entertaining to children of between 6 to 10 years old due to the characters involved.
I do hope you and you children, if applicable, enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come!
