Long ago, before shimmering cities and humming machines, there was water. It flowed in rivers, danced in the rain, and filled the oceans—a silent, steady force that carried life in every droplet. For centuries, humanity has respected this precious gift, but as time passed, it was forgotten. The rivers grew polluted, the lakes dried up, and the rain became a rare visitor. Then, one day, something unimaginable happened: the water began to disappear. In "The Day Water Vanished: A Drop of Life," embark on a poignant journey to a world where the most essential element vanishes. Witness the Earth’s quiet sorrow as her rivers slow to a trickle, her lakes vanish, and even the vast oceans retreat. Follow the plight of a little fish struggling in a polluted river, the thirst of animals in dry fields, and the confusion of people as their faucets run dry. But this is not just a story of loss—it’s a story of rediscovery. It’s about remembering the first drop of water that touched the Earth, bringing life to a barren world. It’s about understanding the interconnectedness of all living things and the vital role water plays in our existence. And it’s about a promise: a promise to cherish this gift, to share it with every creature, and to ensure that this never happens again. "The Day Water Vanished" is a timeless fable that resonates with readers of all ages. It’s a gentle reminder of the profound importance of water and a powerful call to action. Join the journey, learn the Earth’s lesson of love and respect, and discover how, together, we can keep the flow of life alive.

    Challenger and Columbia: The...

In the decades after the Apollo program, American space shuttles flew over 130 missions and successfully completed over 98% of them, but unfortunately, the two most famous missions were the ones that ended tragically aboard the Challenger and Columbia.
The Space Shuttle Challenger was the most heavily used space shuttle in the three years it was operational, carrying the first minority astronaut and woman astronaut into space. Challenger was also the first space shuttle to complete a landing at night.
On the morning of January 28, 1986, the Space Shuttle Challenger launched for the 10th time, beginning mission STS-51-L. Space shuttles had already successfully completed 24 missions, and no American spacecraft had ever failed to reach orbit during an official mission. On this mission, the Challenger was carrying a satellite for the Tracking and Data Relay Satellites system, which was to be deployed in orbit. Ascent seemed to be going normally during the first minute, but about 75 seconds into the ascent, a plastic O-ring used to seal a joint in one of the solid rocket boosters failed, causing a breach of hot gas. That gas spread to the other rocket booster and the external fuel tank, causing an explosion. When the spectators saw the explosion, many of them started cheering, unaware of what was really happening.
The notorious date of the Challenger disaster was commemorated by the crew of the Columbia while they were in space in 2003, and a few days later, on February 1, the Columbia was due to land at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 09:16. Only a few members of the press were present to watch the landing - this was, after all, supposed to be a routine return from a routine mission, the 113th for the shuttle program and the 28th for Columbia, one of the oldest Space Shuttles.

Bagpuss, dear Bagpuss, old fat furry cat-puss, wake up, wake up and look at this thing that I bring...Bagpuss, created by Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin, is no ordinary shop cat. Every time Emily brings something to Bagpuss, something magical happens. Bagpuss, the saggy, lovable cat, lives in a shop where forgotten things come to life. Along with his clever friends—Professor Yaffle, Madeleine, Gabriel, and a group of playful mice—Bagpuss explores the stories behind the items Emily finds. Through music, stories, and a bit of mischief, they make the shop a place where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.Emily brings in a small owl figurine from Athens. Bagpuss and his friends quickly get to work! Professor Yaffle dives into Greek mythology, talking about how owls are symbols of wisdom. Madeleine and Gabriel add their magical songs, while the lively mice create their own silly version of the owl's story.
