The Holman Christian Standard Bible is one of the most accurate and readable translations of the Scriptures, and the gospel of Luke is one of the most fundamental books in the New Testament. Let professional voice artist Dale McConachie, narrator of over 100 audiobooks, take you on a narrated journey through Luke, where you will discover the compassion of Christ and His offer of salvation. Dale’s goal in this recording was to make a simple but reverent audio copy of God's Word that you can take with you everywhere you go, while you commute, in the kitchen, or at the gym. You can easily access any chapter of Luke at any time. It is the reader's prayer that many will, ‘let the Word of Christ richly dwell’ in them.

How can you share the gospel with someone who doesn’t care? As Western culture becomes increasingly indifferent to questions of faith, diverted by secularism, comfort, and distraction, believers encounter many people who don’t so much doubt God as they are apathetic toward him. In Apatheism, Kyle Beshears urges us to recapture the joy of our salvation and demonstrates how to faithfully display the love of Christ to apatheist friends and neighbors.

The most important influence shaping the religious and spiritual lives of children, youth, and teenagers is their parents. A myriad of studies show that the parents of American youth play the leading role in shaping the character of their religious and spiritual lives, even well after they leave home and often for the rest of their lives. We know a lot about the importance of parents in faith transmission. However we know much less about the actual beliefs, feelings, and activities of the parents themselves, what Christian Smith and Amy Adamczyk call the “intergenerational transmission of religious faith and practice.” To address that gap, this book reports the findings of a new national study of religious parents in the United States. The findings and conclusions in Handing Down the Faith are based on 215 in-depth, personal interviews with religious parents from many traditions and different parts of the country, and on sophisticated analyses of two nationally representative surveys of American parents about their religious parenting.

Handing Down the Faith explores the background beliefs informing how and why religious parents seek to pass on religion to their children; examines how parenting styles interact with parent religiousness to shape effective religious transmission; shows how parents have been influenced by their experiences as children influenced by their own parents; reveals how religious parents view their congregations and what they most seek out in a local church, synagogue, temple, or mosque; and explores the experiences and outlooks of immigrant parents including Latino Catholics, East Asian Buddhists, South Asian Muslims, and Indian Hindus. Smith and Adamczyk step back to consider how American religion has transformed over the last 100 years and to explain why parents today shoulder such a huge responsibility in transmitting religious faith and practice to their children. The book is rich in empirical evidence and unique in many of the topics it explores and explains, providing a variety of sometimes counterintuitive findings that will interest scholars of religion; social scientists interested in the family, parenting, and socialization; clergy and religious educators and leaders; and religious parents themselves.

2023 Literary Titan Gold Book Award and 2023 Reader Views Five Star Review:
Spirits Unveiled is an in-depth study of angelic beings, ghosts, and demonic entities and the deliverance from such spirits. The book engages angelology and demonology to examine the mysterious realm of the spirit world.
In Spirits Unveiled, Manning calls attention to the harmful tactics used in the deliverance ministry, such as binding and loosing, generational curses, and false doctrines concerning sickness, while shedding light on demons and deliverance. Spirits Unveiled investigates Hellenism, Greek thought, and the exile to Babylon that affected ancient Judaism concerning angelic spirits and demons. Read the entire series Unmasking the Unseen to examine doctrines that have evolved.

You know her. Maybe you are her. The Most Put-Together Woman in the Room. Make no mistake, she never feels the most put-together. And she doesn't do it to make anyone else feel small. She walks in without a hair out of place, always delivering an A+ performance and relentlessly hard on herself, because she feels like that is the minimum standard she has to achieve just to be welcome in most rooms. Just to be invited to most tables. You would never know by looking at her the hard things she's had to overcome in her life. She succeeds, almost compulsively, in this urgent attempt to outrun her own muddy story. But she is walking around now, reduced to this burned-out, brittle, fragile, ashes-to-ashes version of herself. She is, at last, exhausted.

When gold stars, highlight reels, and seeking approval from strangers are not enough, Mary Marantz assures you that you're already worthy and gives you permission to stop running. In this powerful, life-giving devotional, she shows you how to move from achieving, striving, and performing for your worth to the grace, freedom, and purpose that come from knowing that your identity and calling are determined by God.

You are not in a race with anyone. Good things take time. And slow growth equals strong roots.
