  Will this killer scare him to death or kill him? 
  Lance Alexander Sr sat singing along with his car radio as he waited to pick up his son Jr. He was totally distracted by the music. He didn't see the man jump in his car til it was too late. "What are you doing in my car," said Lance noticing him. 
  "Drive!" said the stranger coldly. 
  "I'm waiting for my son hit the road, Jack!" said Lance he hadn't time for this guy. 
  "Forget him and drive," said the stranger pulling a gun on Lance. 
  "You don't want to do this mate!" warned Lance knowingly. 
  "do you think you're a magician?" asked the carjacker. 
  "I'm worse!" said Lance smiling darkly as he stared the car and sped off. Lance was worse than a magician they were heroes he was wanted by the police as a serial killer. 
  His son saw his car speed away. 
  "Okay I'll take myself home then!" said Jr shortly and disappeared into thin air teleporting home. 
  Meanwhile, in the car, the carjacker was terrified thinking he chose the wrong car to carjack. The owner was insane and had some sort of a death wish he was all over the road like a madman and had a devil-may-care attitude with the carjacker. 
  "Let me out of here? I'll not hurt you if you let me go," pleaded the carjacker who was petrified. 
  "You said you wanted me to drive," said Lance in a mock hurt tone as he locked the doors and drove on.

  Edward Royle is the head of a well-known chemical manufacturer in England, which he has inherited. One night he is asked by his friend, Sir Digby Kemsley – a very famous railroad engineer, to come to his flat to discuss something although Kemsley is quite mysterious on the telephone. Royle visits, then returns home only to be summoned again by Kemsley, this time imploring him to return at once. Royle finds a gentleman in Kemsley's place who is clearly not Kemsley, or is he? Kemsley asks Royle to trust him but that night, a young woman is murdered at Kemsley's flat. Kemsley has disappeared. Royle discovers that his fiancé was in Kemsley's flat at the time of the murder and is obviously hiding something. Once again, Le Queux takes us through a maze of intrigue and locations in Europe.

  By the time my papers had been located and the form filled and stamped by the jury and my luggage had been found and loaded on a three-wheeled cart, Joe's sun was setting. A guard who talked enough to reveal that his name was Smith guided me through the stifling streets. Already the dark nebula was visible and thunderclouds on the horizon added to the possibility that the sky was having convulsions. 
  Smith helped me pull the cart up a ramp to the planked walk of the outer wall. Guards stood at intervals and peeped through infrared goggles or checked strange instruments. Some laughed after we passed.
