Sinossi

"Rebel Strongholds" explores how seemingly weaker groups throughout history have defied established powers by creating and defending fortified spaces. These rebel strongholds become more than just military fortifications; they evolve into centers of power, resistance, and even political leverage. The book argues that understanding these strongholds is vital for grasping unconventional warfare strategies and the limitations of traditional military power. Did you know that the success of a rebel stronghold often hinges as much on social organization and resource management as it does on military tactics? The book also examines how these spaces impact the psychology of both the rebels and their adversaries.

The book progresses by first defining what constitutes a rebel stronghold, differentiating it from conventional military fortifications. It then delves into case studies, grouped thematically to highlight different aspects of stronghold construction and defense. For example, some strongholds exploit challenging geographic environments like mountains or forests, while others thrive in urban settings through social networks. This approach offers a unique perspective by focusing on the spatial dimension of rebellion, moving beyond traditional accounts to examine the concrete spaces where resistance takes root.

Ah This! - Talks on Zen

If you are interested in knowing how to take an inner journey, how to find your soul - read on!
In these talks, Osho introduces his audience to Zen, with its emphasis on being alert and attentive to the simplest acts of ordinary life as a way to experience meditation. Zen stories serve as starting points for several talks in the series, illuminating the nature of that rare human capacity to transcend the limits of the rational mind.
As often happens with Osho, the talks oscillate between commentaries on selected texts, in this case some beautiful anecdotes from the world of Zen, and questions from disciples and other seekers. And, as always, Osho's interest is not scholarly at all but existential: how to point us toward the "Beyondness" from which he speaks.
Although Zen tradition was certainly the one closest to his heart, Osho was independent of all traditions. In fact during the last year of his life, he talked exclusively about Zen, albeit a more relaxed, humorous form than the traditional rather rigid and disciplined monastic version.
Osho always emphasized that the real important thing was not what he was saying but the gaps, the profound silence between the words, and that one should listen to him like to the wind playing with the leaves, or like listening to music.
In this series you will come across a wide spectrum of views and questions related to the human search for higher dimensions of life. And it's certainly a beautiful finger pointing to the moon of truth beyond words and concepts. He takes us into a space from which the existential jump to meditation can happen. The moment when the eternal perfection opens up, the moment all you can say is, "Ah this!"

    Codependency - Why do you...

Are you having trouble fostering healthy relationships?
Are you stressed, feeling drained and exhausted from giving too much in your relationships?
Do you know who you are? What you need? What you like? Or do you feel that you need to be validated and approved by a partner (or any other person) to feel good about yourself?
Codependency is notoriously difficult to combat because there is no precise definition of the disorder. The signs and symptoms also differ for everyone. It is often mistaken for narcissism or other personality disorders that do not reflect the true situation.
People who suffer from this disorder tend to mask what they really feel. At other times, they are not even aware of what they are doing. This only serves to cloud the overall picture by delaying positive interventions, which, sometimes will never come.
I RECOMMEND THAT YOU READ THIS BOOK IF:
    • You are not aware of how you truly feel.
    • You have difficulty identifying your feelings.
    • You have difficulty expressing your feelings.
    • You tend to minimize, modify or even deny the reality of what you feel.
    • You tend to worry and/or fear how others may respond to how you feel.
    • You give power over your feelings to others.
Act now before it's too late
If a codependent denies his destructive behavior, he can pass it on to his children. If the child does not realise the behavioural model of the parents, and its negative impact, it will generate the same patterns as an adult. An endless cycle can be established.
Commit to breaking this cycle and regain control of your life.
