Sinopsis

Fritze Lorenz is a blond, curly-haired potato farmer. He wears worn-out, squeaky rubber boots and blue overalls with a large, colorful knitted chest pocket. He is actually a very talented knitter and a clever, but also very grumpy fellow. On his old farm, you meet all sorts of animals, some he has found, some have run to him, and some have been given to him. He has provided most of these lovable creatures with colorful woolen garments. Hen Sonja, for example, wears a cozy yellow pullover dress because she simply can't grow any feathers. The actual boss of the farm, the one-eyed cat Pierre, has been knitted a fine pirate eyepatch. And then there's the grand dame named Schweinenase, who wears a petrol blue pullover. As a brave piglet, she escaped from a terrible pig farm and fled across wide fields and meadows to Fritze Lorenz. And there are many other personalities. Yes, Fritze Lorenz has a big family, and he is loved by everyone, and of course he loves all his friends too. But somehow he has lost all joy of life. Far too much crap happened around him, so that every day he trudges across his yard with a waving hand and a grumpy "Ach!" Until one day something almost impossible happens.

Cats and dogs have been domesticated for thousands of years and are some of the most beloved pets worldwide. They are known for their loyalty, companionship, and playful nature. Sarah Robinson has been writing about witches for nearly a decade. But can the witches cast a spell to re-enchant her within the landscapes she calls home? In Witch Country, Sarah ventures over (and under) Britain's storied landscapes, with their rich witch heritage as her guide—from witch marks to hanging trees. Join her as she's led astray by witch hares and colt pixies and is inspired by sorceresses, wishing trees, and crystal caves. Meet whispering knights, sister trees, and ancient mother stones; discover modern-day witches and those whose lives were brutally ended during the witch hunts in this spellbinding exploration of fascinating folklore, harrowing history, haunting superstitions, and the magical places where they all collide. Journey with Sarah through the wheel of the year as she sets out on a monthly journey to discover places and voices across the British Isles, from Glastonbury to Lancaster, the New Forest to Edinburgh, that have been shaped by witch lore. She explores the landscapes where well-known witches from myth and history lived, including Sybil Leek, Gerald Gardner, Lilias Adie, Morgan le Fay, the Witch of Wookey Hole, the Pendle Witches, and many more. Unearthing the stories and spirits of place rooted in the land, you will discover that wherever you may roam, a little magic is never far away . . .

Peter Murtagh decided it was time to embark on 'The Great Retirement Project' - riding a motorbike from Tierra Del Fuego at the very southern tip of South America, to the most northerly point in Alaska, alone and without the pressure of any deadline.
Aged 69, just him, a tent, a bike and a sleeping bag.
En route, Peter explored magical, wonderful and extraordinarily out-of-the-way parts of our bruised world, met incredible people from all walks of life and observed a great swathe of the Americas. Travelling alone on the 45,000km journey allowed him a rare opportunity to disconnect from hectic daily life and to embrace the solitude, challenge and peace-of-mind of the road less travelled.
From Tip to Top is a story of optimism and hope and the adventure of a lifetime, and is a ground-level portrait of the Americas as we rarely see them.
