As an engineer and student of science I try to keep up with publications of the latest discoveries and paradigm shifts in science around the world.
I believe that there are several big problems with science today. First is that much science is biased which might be because some scientists want to keep their point of view prominent and the others because many focuses of science are supported by biased funding. This will be discussed in this book.
The other issue is that many scientists limit their thinking to only support age old paradigms and refuse to accept changes to their theories or throw out evidence because it doesn’t conform their current beliefs.
In this book we will cover many issues such as the belief among many cosmologists that the Big Bang never happened.
We will also look at ideas we thought settled but which have lots of contrary evidence and anecdotal counter stories such as time travel and dimensional crossings.
After you read this book you may question much of what is commonly accepted by scientists in the world today.

Cryptids: How We Know They are Real

When you stare into the shadows... do the shadows stare back?
Sasquatch! Mothman! Nessie! The Jackalope! Many cryptids are famous, but which ones are real? Search beyond blurry photos and sketchy eye-witness accounts to examine physical evidence of cryptids that shows... how we know they are real.
    Sample passages:
    From Chapter 1
"Studying cryptids sharpens the mental tools needed to cut through the thickets of misleading and incomplete evidence. The skills you’ll practice as you judge the existence of Bigfoot can be used to analyze any number of scientific, commercial, political, or philosophical claims. The study of cryptids can lead the open-minded explorer into a better understanding and appreciation of our world.
    From Chapter 16
"The giant squid swims through deep, dark seas surrounded by things we’ll never see, and can’t imagine.
In this light, the fact that anyone would state that we’ve already discovered every large creature in the wild is a foolish claim. Just because something is unknown isn’t proof that it’s unreal. If someone tells you a certain cryptid doesn’t exist, there’s no reason to accept that as the final word. There can be no final word. Reality is still being discovered and understood, and there’s an infinite supply of the unknown to transform into the knowable."

Set in a revolutionary era of physics and science when a series of rapid-fire discoveries was upending our understanding of the universe, Splinters of Infinity by Mark Wolverton tells a little-known story: the tale of two of America's foremost physicists, Robert Millikan (1868–1953) and Arthur Compton (1892–1962), who found themselves locked in an intense, often deeply personal, conflict about cosmic rays. Confirmed in 1912, cosmic rays—enigmatic forms of penetrating radiation—seemed to raise all new questions about the origins of the universe, but they also offered the potential to explain everything—or reveal the existence of God.

In engaging, accessible prose, Wolverton takes the listener through the twists and turns of the Millikan-Compton debate, one of the first major public examples of how heated the controversies among scientists could become—and the lengths that scientists would go to settle their disputes. Along the way, Wolverton probes the forever elusive question, still unanswered today, about where cosmic rays come from and what they reveal about black holes, distant galaxies, the existence of dark matter and dark energy, and the birth of the universe, concluding that these splinters of infinity may not hold the keys to the secret of creation but do bring us ever closer to it.

What if consciousness continues beyond clinical death, and ordinary people have returned with extraordinary proof of an afterlife? Journey through meticulously documented near-death experiences that challenge everything science tells us about consciousness and mortality. These aren't folklore or religious tales—they're verified accounts from credible witnesses whose lives were forever transformed by their encounters with death and return. Discover the remarkable story of Tom Sawyer, who survived 33,000 volts of electricity for twenty minutes, experiencing clinical death while witnessing profound revelations about existence, interconnectedness, and the nature of reality itself. Follow Dr. Lloyd Rudy's impossible surgical case that shattered a veteran heart surgeon's materialist worldview. Each account features extensive research, medical documentation, and follow-up studies that validate these extraordinary experiences. Explore detailed life reviews where experiencers relive every moment from multiple perspectives, understanding the ripple effects of their actions across time and space. Witness dramatic personality transformations, enhanced psychic abilities, and the complete loss of death anxiety that characterizes authentic near-death experiences. These stories offer compelling evidence for consciousness survival, featuring truck drivers, medical professionals, and ordinary individuals who encountered something beyond physical reality. Whether you're seeking comfort about mortality, exploring consciousness research, or investigating evidence for an afterlife, these thoroughly investigated cases provide profound insights into humanity's greatest mystery—what happens when we die.

A crucial point of this research was the discovery of a myocardial support that we have termed cardiac fulcrum. The heart cannot be anatomically suspended and free in the thoracic cavity because it would be impossible to eject blood at a speed of 200 cm/s. Consequently, it was necessary for it to have a point of attachment, which was identified and called cardiac fulcrum (lever supporting point). In this supporting point, the muscle fibers are inserted in its structure of connective, chondroid or osseous nature, according to the specimens analyzed. All the hearts (bovine, porcine and human) studied in our investigations with anatomical and histological techniques certified this binding. The fibers that give origin to the myocardium, as well as those at its end, are attached to the fulcrum, leaving the rest of the muscular structure free in the mediastinum. Moreover, the cardiac fulcrum is seen in human adult and gestational ultrasounds, in computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.
