Sinossi

Two men. One Christmas Eve that changes the courses of both their lives.
Henry's homeless and only wants a warm place to sleep on the coldest night of the year. A forgotten open window in a darkened house entices him inside with the promise of warmth and comfort. He knows it's wrong, but he promises himself he'll be out before the owner wakes on Christmas morning.
Except he oversleeps and the homeowner, Jim, discovers a bearded stranger sawing logs under his dining room table. When the shock and the drama that ensues dies down, Henry and Jim discover they might have found, quite unexpectedly, the Christmas miracle they'd both been longing for -- love and home.

Daimon, a empathic demon aligned with neither the dark nor the light, lives in a remote part of New Zealand for the scenery as much as the lack of people. But the self-imposed solitude is often boring.
While watching the moon one evening, Daimon senses someone's despair. Curious, he investigates -- not that the memory of the gorgeous man who'd moved in nearby recently has anything to do with his interest -- only to find out more about his new neighbours than he expected.
Well, at least he isn't bored anymore.

A young woman discovers the boundless potential of her sexuality in this “lyrical and graphic” international bestselling classic novel of joyful eroticism (NPR).   It begins with nineteen-year-old Emmanuelle’s flight from London to join her husband in Bangkok. On the airplane, she is seduced by the passenger seated next to her. By the time they land, she has indulged her irrepressible and insatiable sexual appetite, embarking on an odyssey of hedonistic sensual discovery that takes her from the arms of her husband to intimate encounters with the wives of his business associates, to further explorations wherein the philosophical and aesthetic facets of eroticism are expounded—and enacted—to the fullest degree.   Much like Anne Desclos’ The Story of O and Anaïs Nin’s Delta of Venus, Emmanuelle is as pertinent today as it was when it was first published in 1967, a thrilling reminder of “how this revolutionary epic had an impact on the sexual liberation of women” (Le Parisien Magazine).   “Emmanuelle is not just sex; it is an eroticism that is vintage, oneiric, utopian, and tender, an optimistic and radiant eroticism.” —Le Point   “Emmanuelle’s eroticism is not pathological, unlike the eroticism of revolt. It is a crucial part of the satisfaction of the individual, which feels threatened by nothing, which unfolds in harmony with the world: an eroticism of perfect accord.” —Le Magazine Littéraire   “Lyrical and graphic . . . But it’s not all salacious play-by-play. The sex scenes are interspersed with abstract musings about the nature of sex. . . . In short, it arouses.” —Teddy Wayne, NPR

Former San Diego detective Rick “Chase” Chasen has found a welcome change of pace on walking tours in the British countryside. But England’s green and pleasant land can hide all kinds of surprises—including murder …

Chase has two compelling reasons for returning to England—a group walk along the famed Coast to Coast trail in the picturesque Lake District, and a chance to further his relationship with Mike, the handsome Devonshire coroner he met on his last trip. The walkers, including Chase’s dear friend and fellow Anglophile Billie Mondreau, assemble at a Cumbrian hotel and begin their adventure with the traditional “baptism of the boots” in St. Bee’s Bay. But they’ve barely begun traveling eastward with their genial guide than the group dynamic turns unexpectedly rocky.

The problem is the Uptons—a wealthy family who have arrived from Texas, and whose squabbling antics continually overshadow the bucolic surroundings. Brock Upton, tall and commanding, is traveling with his pint-sized wife and his three siblings, along with a family friend. Every member of the party cites a different reason for joining the tour, and Chase’s instincts tell him they’re all lying.

Brock’s heart condition hinders their progress through the Lake District’s hills and dales. But that proves the least of their problems when one of the Uptons is fatally poisoned. Years of secrets and grudges emerge, along with a decades-old family mystery. And only Chase’s investigative expertise can find the answers—and uncover a killer in their midst before tragedy befalls the tour again …
