Sinossi

Sorwyn, a spirited girl on Ireland’s rugged coast, and Kavi, a curious boy amid Kerala’s fragrant spice markets, become unlikely best friends through a pen-pal exchange. Their teacher equips them with augmented-reality glasses, turning weekly letters into immersive visits: strolling along emerald cliffs, tasting virtual coconut curry, dancing to Gaelic and Tamil rhythms. They spark schoolwide celebrations, trade handcrafted souvenirs, and weave a digital scrapbook bursting with videos, sketches, and folklore. As their bond deepens, they pool their imaginations and savings to plan a real-life meeting—proving that friendship, fueled by curiosity and kindness, can bridge any distance.

    YOUNG BLACKBEARD THE PIRATE
    PORT OF BRISTOL 1690
Book 3 of 6 – The curse of the lemonade stand
Here is the summary description of this book:
In 1690s Bristol, young Edward Teach—the boy who would become the infamous pirate Blackbeard—leads his crew in a daring lemonade stand scheme at the bustling High Cross market. Using stolen sugar and Anne Bonny’s over-sweetened brew, they attract sailors and merchants alike—until a rival vendor accuses them of sugar theft, a crime punishable by transportation. Facing the constable, Edward spins a tale of the "Sugar Witch," a Barbados hag who curses their lemonade, and sells "anti-curse" potions (dyed with stolen cochineal) to the superstitious crowd. The deception works, earning them enough coin for future adventures while showcasing Edward’s early knack for manipulation and theatrics—traits that would later define Blackbeard’s reign of terror. The story blends historical details of Bristol’s sugar trade and maritime culture with a playful origin for history’s most notorious pirate, proving even legends start small.
This is the third of six audiobooks in the series and I do hope you enjoy this instalment, and it's only $3.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes sets the scene, so to speak, accordion, fiddle, harmonica and bango in a classical sea shanty jig. The closing music ends the tale on a similar jig and at about 2 minutes with the same musical instruments but more upbeat looking forward to the next episode.
The story itself runs to about 13 minutes is is narrated in my own voice.
I do hope you enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come!

Twelve-year-old Kimmy Jones wants to excel at the unique (and secret) aspect of her family’s funeral home business. Under the watchful eye of Grandma Bev, Kimmy learns how to raise the recently deceased, request their last wish, and break the connection to send them on. But when Grandma unexpectedly dies herself, Kimmy can’t reach her spirit, and nothing seems like it’s ever going to be right again.
Then a boy dies under mysterious circumstances on the night of a meteor shower. With no witnesses, Kimmy’s the only one who can get answers about what happened. So she breaks into the hospital morgue, and for the first time in months, her power works. She Wakes the boy up. Except then Kimmy can’t break the connection and so he stays Awake. Even worse, the boy has no memory of what happened to him. As Kimmy works to unravel the mystery, she discovers secrets about her heritage and learns about a witch who has been wreaking havoc for centuries.
Casey Lyall’s supernatural mystery is heartfelt, thrilling, and hilarious. Waking the Dead and Other Fun Activities is perfect for fans of Avi’s School of the Dead and Suzanne Young’s What Stays Buried.

For children and their young-at-heart old folk.
When Uncle Tim loses his beloved puppy, a soft-winged angel takes him somewhere unexpected — to Riverland, a magical realm where all the animals we’ve ever loved still live and play. Years later, Rose follows the same path, guided by dreams, feathers, and the wisdom of her Nannie.
Riverland is a tender tale of love, loss, and the healing power of imagination. With gentle humour and spiritual insight, it reminds us that even when something is gone, it’s never truly lost.
A soulful adventure for children and the grown-ups who walk beside them.
