Sinossi

Merceria is barely hanging on.

The Marshal of Merceria faces an impossible decision. While one of his Dwarven allies is freed from invasion, the other remains under siege, and a massive enemy fleet still lies off the southern coast. Who does he help first?

The Petty Kingdoms burn as the Halvarian Empire continues its pursuit of total conquest. Before them sits a weakened enemy, the Duchy of Erlingen. Can Halvaria annihilate them before allies come to their assistance?

The stranded Mercerians seek an audience with the Northern Alliance, but the call for help falls on deaf ears. Will Beverly secure aid before the empire's legions destroy what little resistance remains?

The entire Continent faces extinction as the Heir to the Crown series continues in Book 14, Saviour of the Crown.

Sharpen your sword and prepare for the fight of your life in Saviour of the Crown.

Robert Barr was born in Glasgow, Scotland on the 16th September 1849. Five years later the family emigrated to a farm near Muirkirk in Upper Canada.

His early years were uneventful as the family settled into their new lives and Barr began his education.

A career path as a teacher opened up for him and, by 1874, he had been appointed as headmaster at the Central School at Windsor. Concurrently he also wrote travel and humourous articles for magazines. Within two years their success in the regional periodicals encouraged him to change careers to become a reporter and columnist.

In August 1876, at age 27, he married Eva Bennett and they began a family.

A half decade later he was the exchange editor of the ‘Free Press’ but decided to relocate to London to establish an English edition and to write fiction, which both met with much success.

Over the years he was a prolific writer and in 1892, along with Jerome K Jerome, he established ‘The Idler’ magazine and, just after the turn of the century, became its sole proprietor.

Although a number of his crime novels and short stories are parodies on Sherlock Holmes and other best-selling detectives of the time, he also wrote short stories across a whole range of subjects and genres usually with intriguing ideas and many laced with wit and humour.

Robert Barr died at his home in Woldingham, Surrey of heart disease on the 21st October 1912. He was 63.

One second, the world works. The next, it doesn’t.
For ER nurse Sarah Mitchell, it was just the end of another brutal shift. For survivalist Jake Cooper, it was the day he’d been preparing for his entire life. When a high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (EMP) erases a century of progress in a silent flash, the two neighbors are thrown into a world without power, without rules, without hope.
While the unprepared descend into chaos, the organized and ruthless rise to build empires from the ashes. A brutal warlord named Marcus begins to consolidate power, hunting for those with the skills to rebuild his new world—or die resisting. At the top of his list: a combat-trained medic named Sarah.
Forced into an uneasy alliance, Sarah’s battle-hardened instincts and Jake’s encyclopedic knowledge of survival become a last-ditch effort to protect the innocent. Together with a small band of survivors, they must navigate a city that has become a hunting ground, where every shadow could hide an enemy and every choice could be their last.
This complete first season is a relentless, high-octane journey from the first moment the lights go out to a stunning cliffhanger that reveals the true, terrifying scope of the global catastrophe. When the world goes dark, the real monsters come out to play.
Don’t miss Blackout Nation: The complete Season One bundle narrated by the incomparable Adam Barr.
