Sinossi

Forensic psychologist Lena Grayson thought she’d escaped the suffocating sweetness of Havenwood, a town drowning in the scent of rotting apples and the unanswered questions surrounding her sister Clara’s disappearance twenty years ago.  But a desperate call about her mother's failing health draws Lena back to the decaying family farmhouse, back to the sprawling orchard that whispers secrets on the wind. The discovery of Clara’s journal is a morbid invitation, its brittle pages filled with cryptic entries of paranoia, phantom footsteps, and the terrifying certainty of being watched.  Clara’s words reveal not just her descent into fear, but a desperate investigation into a hidden darkness within Havenwood, a secret she guarded fiercely, even from her closest friend.Returning to Havenwood is like stepping into a nightmare. Sheriff Raymond Bauer, a weary man etched with the burden of Clara’s unsolved case, greets Lena with cryptic warnings. Brianna Evans, Clara's childhood friend, now a recluse haunted by fractured memories, speaks in riddles, her words veiled in a chilling symbolism. As Lena unravels the cryptic clues within the journal, she unearths a chilling legacy of disappearances tied to the orchard. Each unanswered question, each evasive glance, reinforces the unsettling feeling that Havenwood isn't just hiding a secret – it *is* a secret.  And as Lena’s own experiences begin to mirror Clara’s – the rustling in the orchard, the whispers on the wind, the unnerving sense of an unseen presence – she fears she’s not just tracing her sister’s last steps, but following her down a path towards madness. The truth lies buried beneath the town’s idyllic facade, hidden within a clandestine affair, a forgotten ritual, and an ancient pact sealed in blood. As the annual harvest festival approaches, Lena races against time to uncover the truth before she becomes the next victim in a terrifying tradition. The orchard’s whispers are growing louder, and they’re calling her name.

"The Profound - Part 1" is the first volume of a narrative spanning many volumes. This series is a slow burn that introduces the reader into a world both magic and scary.
James Tannot, a young Irishman from Dublin, actually has no aspirations of becoming a hero or an enlightened master. His main objective is to enjoy his time as a medical student in Southern France and graduate as an MD from Marseille University. However, he fails the entrance exam and shortly thereafter meets a peculiar Armenian doctor who introduces him to a secret community of healers and magicians called the Cymdeithas. They take him in and aim to turn him into a healer. Suddenly, James finds himself in a world where sorcery and supernatural abilities are as real as a supermarket in the ordinary world.
And there is more: during his training with the Cymdeithas, James not only encounters his soulmate, Manush, but also discovers that in this course of study, he must be willing to risk his life. But, please do not get this series wrong. There are no vampires and sex driven demons, there are no magic wands and there is no exhilarating battle between good and evil. The narrative in this series is far more complex. The story is infused with spiritual teachings from all sorts of traditions and is just as much about a personal journey of healing, as it is about the obstacles humanity faces in its struggle to overcome evil, boredom and the curse of no-meaning. Though a fantasy novel, the author weaves an intriguing story that is more about our everyday reality, than one may think. So, if you simply want to listen to a thrilling adventure void of meaning for your real life: don't listen. But if you believe that there is more to life than what meets the eye, if you alway felt, that something in our world is off, then go ahead.

Some very few amongst are a little different. They look the same, possibly act the same but, somehow, we might suspect that they are a little out of tune, a little off.

Their difference is that they have dark powers. Powers for the greedy benefit of themselves and not you or I. In these stories our authors have them doing some quite unconscionable actions that disturb and menace those around them and of course you and I.
