A wild ride to the dark side of Americana, The Curse of Lono is to Hawaii what Fear and Loathing was to Las Vegas: the crazy tales of a journalist's "coverage" of a news event that ends up being a wild ride to the dark side of Americana. Originally published in 1983, Curse features all of the zany, hallucinogenic wordplay and feral artwork for which the Hunter S. Thompson/Ralph Steadman duo became known and loved. This curious book, considered an oddity among Hunter's oeuvre, was long out of print, prompting collectors to search high and low for an original copy.

The contents of this book are intended for entertainment, curiosity, and a healthy dose of critical thinking. While Flat Out Fascinating dives into the peculiar world of Flat Earth beliefs, it is not an endorsement of, nor a scientific argument for, pancake-shaped planets or domed skies. Part memoir, part reflection on vocation, Reverence charts the past and present life of an Anglican and female priest, one of the first women to be ordained in the Church of England in the 1990s. Magdalen Smith grew up in a clergy family, married a cleric, then became one herself. Working in many different contexts, cathedral, outer estate, city and countryside, she draws from a depth of experience in ministry and spirituality and reflects on how the church has changed over the years. Describing the often quirky and profound experiences of human life where all is infused with the holy, the book communicates a deep love of enabling others to discover a sense of the divine for themselves.

Reverence is a journey through one woman’s life, beginning in the 23-roomed vicarage where she grew up and ending in a place where her priestly calling is still believed to be relevant in a rapidly changing world. It takes familiar concepts of spirituality and through personal stories, reflections on art, culture and place, seeks to connect with the sense of vocation and an intuitive sense of the numinous that many people feel whether they describe themselves as religious or not.

After all the transitions and changes taking place in my life over the last 53 years, I discovered that I am not my own. I realized that to be what you were created to be requires a hand of God to lead me in that direction. My stubbornness and hard heart caused the rug to be pulled out from under me. God looked at his clock and said it was his turn to us me for his glory. Upon me still refusing to let go of my lifestyle, I suffered much mentally and emotionally. My life was not where I wanted it to be, I was lost and still seeking love in a man and the homosexual lifestyle. My unhappiness triggered God to step in and do what he does best and that is change me for his glory. Here it is, 2010 back in West Palm Beach without my permission once again. A place that I hated but God wanted me back in this place for a reason unknown to me, I couldn't see why he wanted me to come back but the clock was ticking and wanted me to get in line or get left behind.
