From the author of Maidenhead, a reverse cautionary tale about a young woman exploring the boundaries of sex and belonging in the early 2000s

Distraught that her teenage daughter is in love with a woman a decade older, Yara’s mother sends her away from their home in Brazil to Israel, on a Birthright trip for Jewish youth. Freed from her increasingly controlling and jealous girlfriend, Yara is determined to forge her own path and follow her desires.

But Birthright takes a debaucherous turn, and Yara flees Israel for Toronto and then California. As she wanders, Yara is forced to reframe her relationship and her ideas around consent. Set in the sex-tape-panicked early 2000s, Yara is a reverse cautionary tale about what the body can teach us.

In every moment, we choose between Heaven and Hell...
The good people of Battle Hill are getting ready to put on a play by the renowned playwright, Peter Stanhope. As the rehearsals continue and the date of the premier draws closer, many things that are hidden are revealed.
Among them is the fact that nearly every choice presents us with both an invitation and a temptation. Pauline Anstruther is invited to face her deepest fear, and to dare to believe that she can offer succor and support to a long-dead relative at the moment of his greatest need. Lawrence Wentworth is tempted to forsake the company of real (and therefore difficult) people and retreat into illusion and isolation. To choose connection and community is to choose Heaven, to reject it is to descend into Hell...
Descent into Hell is among the most subtle and profound of Williams’ novels. In it, he most fully presents his theology of substituted love.

Several years ago I became interested in the ideas of real time travel and dimensional travel. I’ve been trained in science and modern physics as well as engineering so I knew that modern theories of our physical world did not include the possibilities that time or dimensional travel existed.
As I did my research on stories of people who had travelled through time or additional dimensions there were many very credible stories. These stories eventually led me to conclude that time or dimensional travel through portals or veils does exist and some persons have experienced it.
On a book I wrote about the Tuatha Da Dannon who were the forerunners of elves, the Druids, and more there were stories that they originated in a different dimension called the Otherworld. And there were some interesting stories of humans who had traveled to the Otherworld and back.
It also turns out that the more one studies these subjects the more historical stories there are of portal, dimensional, and time travel experiences people have had.
This book then is a detailed review and exploration of portals around the world. Some of which are very plausible and others just might exist. Also could these portals be used today?
There are also lots of stories of individuals travelling through time and dimensional portals.
There are lots of interesting questions on this subject and we are just starting to learn the answers.

Sort through Your Questions and Find a Path from Doubt to Faith
Do you have honest questions about faith? Or have you walked away from a faith you once had? Perhaps you've been part of a faith tradition, but you've begun to question parts of what you've been taught. Students and young professionals today are submerged in a culture of cynicism and doubt. Many identify as nonreligious but wrestle with questions about God's existence, the meaning of life, and whether it's possible to find goodness and beauty in this world.
After 40 years listening to hundreds of people's stories of faith, Randy Newman has come to see that answering spiritual questions usually involves a series of twists and turns, not a direct ascent from one belief to another. Our political view, family background, understanding of sexuality, and religious background all play a part in our faith journeys. If you or a friend are navigating terrains of doubt, you'll find Newman to be a faithful guide. He'll help you sort through your many questions and find solid answers.

    - Culturally Aware: Touches on matters of morality, identity, suffering, sexuality, and science
    - Accessible: Newman mixes thought-provoking anecdotes with a clear and compelling message about the Christian faith
    - A Tool for Winsome Apologetics: Written to help those who doubt to answer their questions about the Christian faith; will also help Christians strengthen their beliefs and share them with doubting friends
    - Written by Randy Newman: Senior fellow for apologetics and evangelism at the C. S. Lewis Institute
