Sinossi

This book is a thriller in the same vein as; Lee Childs, David Baldacci and Michael Connelly. The plot line relates to the Shia Crescent of Power. Iran wants to build an oil pipeline through Iraq and Syria for access to the Mediterranean. This would allow Iran to ultimately close off the Gulf to Kuwait and the UAE oil shipments, driving prices through the roof and damaging Saudi Arabia as an enemy. Duncan Innes is a Federal Reserve investigator who is tasked with discovering who murdered a Federal Reserve Banker and why. A Bank of England employee is also killed and Innes tries to connect the dots. A female assassin is sought by the Police in multiple countries as Innes follows up on leads. He travels from Washington to London and Frankfurt looking for motives and who is behind the killings. Things come to a head in Cape Town, South Africa when a local banker there is also murdered. The President of the United States is appraised of the Middle East Cabal and the possibility that a member of his team is involved in a cover-up engineered by Kuwait. It comes out that Israel/Hamas is only a distraction to keep the West from focusing on what is happening in Iran. Innes has multiple attempts made on his life while chasing down all leads. His activities are sanctioned by the President as he seeks who is the inside man in Washington.

Life in the ancient ages was not as “easy” as it has become in the last two hundred years! It was literally a very dangerous place to be, and you could get yourself in trouble, or even killed, quite easily and without much effort. The best two inventions ever created by humankind are laws and law enforcement. Without them, we would still be living in a jungle-like state where every one of us would do as he pleased and we would have no security whatsoever. Laws and law enforcement came as a necessary measure to protect each and every individual in society, and that is why people are so scared of wars and chaos, as if these two happen, both law and law enforcement would be suspended, well, at least in practice, which is what counts.
When I got married, my wife was 23 years old and I was moving to a new job, and right after the wedding, when we traveled so we could join our new companies, the first thing she told me was not to trust anyone at work. She said that if we could not trust anyone in life in general, what would we say about work, where everybody is a competitor or, at least, a potential competitor. Keep this in mind while you go through your corporate journey, as it is as true now as it was since the beginning of time.
In this book you will learn: How to deal with a difficult bossHow to deal with colleaguesHow to get promoted without adding any physical effort. How to deal with difficult situationsHow to avoid your boss or colleagues stealing your work creditsAnd so much more.

In "Redesigning Education: A New Paradigm for Success," author Frank "Bud" O'Lery presents a compelling exploration of the challenges facing humanity in the modern era. Drawing parallels to the metaphorical "Four Horsemen of Apocalypse," O'Lery delves into the pressing issues of overcrowding, authoritarianism, greed, and environmental crises. Urging immediate action, he proposes the establishment of Educational Oases as safe havens for humanity, fostering critical thinking, knowledge, and interpersonal skills. The book envisions these Oases as fortresses of enlightenment, safeguarding arts, knowledge, and the best of human values. O'Lery contends that survival in the face of global challenges necessitates a commitment to logic, evidence, and the sanctity of life. Drawing inspiration from the concept of "the shining city on the hill," the author advocates for a new educational paradigm that addresses societal flaws and cultivates a foundation for future generations. "Redesigning Education" serves as both a discussion and a plan of action, providing a roadmap for navigating troubled times and reshaping the future of humanity.
