The epidemic of unhappiness, loneliness, and rushed lives is growing and growing. To whom should we look for help?
When was the last time you had a peaceful dinner with the ones you love and care about?
Did you answer “well…” to any of those? Be honest - we all do. To one, two, or even to all. We are constantly being rushed, pushed to do more things, have more things, and be faster, more efficient, and more successful. But it’s burning us out. Even when we reach success, we’re not happy with it.
The Danish may just hold the answer to that - it’s hygge, and you probably have heard about it by now. The problem is most people don’t grab the entire concept. They expect that some candles, hot cocoa, and a warm blanket will immediately solve their problems. But the full spectrum of hygge includes much more.
Go beyond fuzzy cardigans and lavender-scented candles. Embrace hygge to its fullest potential and give yourself true peacefulness and calmness.
    In Hygge, you will discover:
    • What are the main principles of hygge and how to practice them with ease
    • What major benefits can proper hygge bring into your life
    • How to make your home as hyggelig as possible
    • How to do more for your tastebuds than just hot cocoa
    And much more.
You will notice immediate improvements in your life. Never again give in to stress and overwhelming isolation. You too can live the frugal, happy life you always wanted. Just use the astounding practices set up by generations of Danes.
Hygge has many facets you are not yet aware of. It’s a real shame to leave those amazing treasures undiscovered.
Get your life back and hygge up!

In 1730, nineteen-year-old Marie Durand was arrested and taken from her home in a village in Southern France for the crime of having a brother who was a Protestant preacher. Imprisoned in the Tower of Constance, Marie would spend the next thirty-eight years there. Simonetta Carr introduces us to the inspiring life of a woman who could have recanted her Protestant faith and gained release, but held fast to the truth and encouraged others to do so as well. Beautiful illustrations, a simply told story, and interesting facts acquaint young readers with the challenges facing Protestants in eighteenth-century France and show them that even a life spent in prison can be lived in service to Christ and others.

Trainee For Mars - Not Everyone...

Trainee For Mars by Harry Harrison - The important thing was that they survive. Men were needed who’d be able to explore the surface once the ship landed.
Harry Harrison (1925–2012) was an American science fiction writer best known for The Stainless Steel Rat series, Make Room! Make Room! (1966), and the Bill, the Galactic Hero books. Born Henry Maxwell Dempsey in Stamford, Connecticut, he later took his stepfather’s surname. After serving in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II, he became an illustrator and editor before launching his writing career.
Harrison’s fiction was marked by satire, humor, and social commentary. The Stainless Steel Rat (1961) introduced Slippery Jim diGriz, a charming con man in a future where crime is nearly extinct. The series blended adventure, wit, and anti-authoritarian themes, making it a fan favorite. In contrast, Make Room! Make Room! painted a bleak vision of overpopulation and resource depletion, later inspiring the film Soylent Green (1973).
He was deeply interested in linguistics, pacifism, and environmentalism, often weaving these themes into his work. Bill, the Galactic Hero (1965) was a scathing satire of military life, countering the glorified war narratives common in the genre. Harrison also co-created the Deathworld series, featuring a hostile planet that reflects mankind’s own violent nature.
A globetrotter, Harrison lived in Mexico, England, Ireland, and Denmark, embracing a cosmopolitan lifestyle. He was a Grand Master of Science Fiction and an advocate for the genre’s literary merit.
