Sinossi

'Shisha lounges are an essential part of the Muslim experience, bruv, like the Fillet-O-Fish.'
Chunkyz Shisha Lounge is a home away from home for Jihad, Rashid and Asif, a space where community whispers are heard, jokes are told, and new hustles are born. But its future is under threat, having become a target for local politicians.
Aspiring journalist Jihad wants to fight back. After winning a competition to produce his own documentary, he sets out to create something that gives a voice to his community and challenges the usual stereotypes that fill the airwaves. Will he be able to create something that makes his boys proud? Or will his dreams of becoming a journalist come at a cost too high to bear?
Mohamed-Zain Dada's debut play, Blue Mist is a story about South Asian Muslim men navigating a system that isn't built for them. It premiered at the Royal Court Theatre, London, in October 2023, directed by Milli Bhatia, in a co-production with SISTER. It was revived on tour in 2026.
Blue Mist won Best Stage Production at the 2024 Asian Media Awards.

In the world’s most celebrated and lyrical love story, the sublime devotion of two young lovers transcends their earthly fate.
The noble Veronese houses of Montague and Capulet are locked in a bitter feud. When Romeo (a Montague) and Juliet (a Capulet) fall in love, they are swept up in a series of violent events and cruel twists of fortune. Despite the passion and innocence of their love, they fall victim to the enmity between their families, and their story ends in tragedy.
In this production, Romeo is played by Joseph Fiennes and Juliet by Maria Miles. Elizabeth Spriggs is the Nurse.

My love of poetry was always unrequited. As with all young boys, my English teachers forced me to memorize and recite unintelligible Shakespearean sonnets and turn bad blood into worse ink. For the next half-century, I never gave it a chance.
But at the age of 71, poetry came in search of me.
The theme of ‘senses’ made sense. As a physician and winemaker, I would try to turn exquisite impressions into exquisite expressions, solvents for the soul dipped in dyes of the heart.
There are 17 poems in this sense-ational collection, each with a different form, climbing higher on the sensory evolutionary ladder from the cranial nerves to the prefrontal cortex and beyond.
Writing them was like dropping a rose petal into an elevator shaft and waiting for the echo.
Read these short, jagged-edged lines as imaginary gardens of joy and pain and wonder, with a dash of dictionary.

A woman on the run meets a grumpy ex-havy recluse hated by everyone in town in this steamy small-town romance.
“My heart demands I be near this broken man. Maybe we can be broken together.”
    Alex:
The only thing I’ve ever wanted was to be left alone in my secluded cabin, deep in the woods. I wear my scars as a badge of dishonor to ensure that people will stay away from me. And severe PTSD after years in the Navy just about seals the deal.
And this is how I like it: alone and quiet…
Until a beautiful trouble gets dumped on my doorstep.
    Freya:
The only thing I want is to fix my car and get the hell away from Little Hope, where I got stuck thanks to a popped tire and ‘helpful’ locals. Unfortunately, fate - apparently - has other plans for me.
That’s how I find myself at Alex’s doorstep. A local ex-navy recluse, Alex is rude, obnoxious, and scorching as hell with his grumpiness and f-off attitude.
I just want to run from this little town and from this growly man people constantly warn me about. But why does he suddenly feel like home?
They say All Roads Lead to Maine. But do they end there?
This slow-burn, strangers-to-enemies-to-lovers, contemporary romance is a standalone filled with angst, battling the demons of the past, and finding peace. Each book contains a story about a different couple. No cheating. No cliffhangers. HEA.
