Sinossi

In The Day the Crayons Went Crazy, Melissa’s crayons come to life, each with a quirky personality that leads to colorful chaos. Red is overly dramatic, Blue loves to sing, and Green is always up to mischief. As the crayons’ antics cause trouble during Melissa’s coloring session, she and her friends must find a way to bring harmony back to the crayon box. From dance-offs with pencils to joke-telling contests with markers, the crayons are full of surprises. But through patience, mindfulness, and a lot of creativity, Melissa and her friends help the crayons work together, turning their messy masterpieces into vibrant works of art. Filled with humor, fun, and heartwarming moments, The Day the Crayons Went Crazy is a celebration of imagination, personal growth, and the joy of coloring together.

Mind-reading. Foretelling the future. The ability to move objects without touching them. Being able to see distant and hidden objects with the mind. To most people, this sounds like the high points of the act of an illusionist, a person who uses trickery to baffle and confuse an audience while performing stage magic to achieve uncanny feats. But we all know these things really are impossible. Aren’t they?
The concept of what has become known as Extrasensory Perception (ESP) has existed for a century. This notion claims that certain seemingly impossible feats can be produced not by tricks but by using the human mind in ways that still aren’t understood. Instances of telepathy, precognition, telekinesis, and remote viewing aren’t confined to magic shows. It’s well known that some people claim to have these abilities. What is less well known is that almost from the time the term ESP was first used, there have been attempts to use scientific investigation to find out whether they are real.
In the beginning, these experiments were conducted by individuals or small organizations regarded as cranks by most members of the mainstream scientific community. Their findings were generally ignored, but that became more difficult in 1995 when previously secret documents were declassified. These revealed that a series of experiments on ESP had been funded by the CIA and DIA that cost millions of dollars and were carried out by respected scientists at Stanford Research International (SRI) in Menlo Park, California over the course of more than 15 years. It was certainly surprising that an American intelligence agency had been willing to fund research on subjects that were silly to most people, but what was perhaps more surprising was that the Soviet Union had already been involved in a very similar series of experiments.

“I got a letter!” said Fíasól happily, taking a closer look. “It says:
To the amazing and fantastic Fíasól at 8 Green Grove, Grasby.
Thank you for being you! Coolest, coolest, coolest of them all!”
“You’ve got to be joking!” said Pippa. “What halfwit sends something like that?”
Fíasól looked at her sister in indignation.
“Halfwit? A letter like this is definitely not written by a halfwit.”
Fíasól opened the envelope and drew out a long letter and a number of drawings.
“Well, blow me,” she said in surprise. “This must be from a famous artist.”
“Read us the letter,” Pippa said impatiently.
     Fíasól read:
“Dear Fíasól, I’ve been meaning to write you many letters to tell you what fun you are and so clever. Here are some pictures of you that I drew. I hope you like them. I’m very good at drawing, just like you. Best of all I like playing with you and I’m so glad to be able to be with you every day. I am always going to wake up with you in the morning and go to sleep with you in the evening and take good care of you all my life.
I shall also look after you when others are horrible to you, and I’ll take your side. I’ll tell Pippa off if she winds you up and I’ll help you to tidy up the frightful dump when your mum says you have to. I’ll always be your best friend.
Your oldest and best and funniest and coolest of all the friends in the whole wide world, Fíasól who is the coolest.”
Pippa stared at her sister in indignation.
“Did you write a letter to yourself?”
“Yeah, and so what? Does it matter who writes you a letter? Getting a letter now and then is the main thing, isn’t it? And they have to be fun letters, that you can be bothered to read.”

The simple practice of mindfulness, which can be explained in a few words as "directing our awareness in the present moment", can help us maintain a clear mind and sharp attention, and it is discussed, explained, and analyzed from many different perspectives, uncovering most of the facets of conscious living, in our today's society. This book is all about mindful living, where two different practices are recurrently present, as a means to sustain our conscious approach: mindfulness and meditation. I am presenting simple techniques that will sustain a conscious approach to life, helping your perception to always be clear and rooted in the present moment, and transforming your approach to life into a stress-free, relaxed, and aware point of view.Even if you already know about mindfulness or you are looking to find a resource to explain it more in-depth to you, this book manages to touch on most of the aspects that are related to our mind, and to our relationship to this world, to the direct experience that we can have when we discard or transcend our Ego, and mostly, to our personal relationship with the dynamic and ever-changing present moment.I hope that everyone that reads my book will get to witness, in time, their pristine, clear, and natural state of mind, getting to gradually see the gaps of thought, through the practice of mindfulness and meditation, and finally, witnessing the unwavering mind of no-thought, which will illuminate and radically change their perception on life.
