Sinossi

The Libertine Neighborhood – Explicit Gay Erotic Stories in English for Adults by Manuel García delivers a raw, unapologetic journey into the world of virile male desire. These are stories about real men—men with grit and presence, sometimes silent, sometimes rough—whose hunger surfaces in the least expected moments. Set in tangible, lived-in places—cafés, side streets, cramped apartments—the encounters throb with tension, power, and the weight of everything left unsaid. This is not about romance. It’s about carnal truth.

In the title story, The Libertine Neighborhood, Patrizio is a fifty-year-old man who’s seen—and tasted—a lot. His mornings at the local café are part of a quiet ritual, until the young, tight-bodied bartender Giacomo decides to push their banter into dangerous territory. One morning before the bar opens, a kiss turns into something far more physical, setting the stage for an open, no-limits relationship. But when Giacomo introduces Amin—a muscular Tunisian with a past connection that Patrizio never forgot—the boundaries between memory, fantasy, and raw need dissolve.

Giacomo’s pelvis rests inches from Patrizio’s face, a silent dare in the morning light. Later, Amin’s hands grip the back of his neck, his breath hot against the skin as he whispers a memory Patrizio had tried to bury: a night in the pine forest, rough, sudden, unforgettable. And now, here they are again—three men in a small room, sweat and breath and muscle pressing in from all sides, the air thick with the inevitability of what comes next.

Masculine, direct, and charged with unfiltered erotic energy, The Libertine Neighborhood doesn’t just tell you what happens—it makes you feel the heat, the weight, and the pulse of every moment.

Demosthenes is generally acknowledged as the greatest orator in history. He overcame a stammer and the theft of his inheritance by his legal guardians to become as foundational to oratory as his contemporaries Plato and Aristotle are to philosophy.
Much like a major contemporary political figure, he overcame a stammer on his journey to greatness, with “inarticulate and stammering pronunciation.” He was known as “a water drinker”; a stern and serious presence at all times.
His great battle was against the waning of Athenian democracy, which slowly disintegrated into oligarchy and treason over his lifetime. As a legislator, ambassador, and leader he fought against the inexorable rise of Philip of Macedon and, later, Philip’s son Alexander. Fighting for the peace, democracy and equality that Athenian ancestors brought to all Greece, his tale ends in ruin as Athens finally falls, after more than thirty years trying to hold the line.
In historical terms, many of the patterns, descriptions and arguments presented here will seem eerily familiar, like listening to Songs In The Key Of Life for the first time. Every part of it has been reused a thousand times by people ever since its creation, so you are intimately familiar with the style, even if you have never come across it before.
After a prestigious career of public service, the tide turned against him. An accusation of bribery leads to his most famous speech, On The Crown. This defense of his career as the tides turned against him has been described as “the greatest speech of the greatest orator in the world.”
After his conviction, he escaped from prison and went on the run. He was exiled, brought back, then sentenced to death; eventually, fleeing the city again, this time to the island of Kalaureia (modern-day Poros). Discovered by Archias, he asked for time to write a letter to his family, and took poison from a reed.

Sea of Troubles - The European...

In the mid-eighteenth century, most of the Mediterranean coastline and its hinterlands were controlled by the Ottoman Empire, a vast Islamic power regarded by Christian Europe with awe and fear. By the end of the First World War, however, this great civilisation had been completely subjugated, and its territories occupied by European powers. Sea of Troubles is the definitive account of the European conquest of the Levant and North Africa over three centuries. Ian Rutledge reveals the intense imperial rivalry between six European powers - Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Austria-Hungary and Russia - who all jostled for control of the trade, lands and wealth of the Islamic Mediterranean. The competition between these states made their conquest a far more difficult and extended task than they encountered elsewhere in the world. Yet, as new contenders entered the contest, and as rivalries intensified in the early twentieth century, events would spiral out of control as the continent headed towards the First World War.

Formed in 1933, the Gestapo became one of the most feared state forces of the Third Reich before and during World War II.

Chronicling the history of the organization, from its origins to the brutal and horrific offences that it perpetrated on hundreds of thousands of people, to its eventual downfall, Gestapo is a compelling tale of power and destruction taken to their most terrifying extremes. Familiar in films as the ominous men wearing black leather trench coats seen arresting people on the flimsiest of pretexts, the true story of the Geheime Staatspolizei (or Gestapo for short) is even more frightening.

Drawing on numerous sources, Gestapo explores how this secret state police force was born on 26 April 1933, the creation of Hermann Göring. Together with the Kriminalpolizei and the Sicherheitsdienst, the Gestapo would enforce a reign of terror on Germany and across much of Europe. Containing profiles of key figures and chilling tales of its death squads' sadistic efficiency - from the torture of Resistance members to mass murder in collaboration with the Einsatzgruppen - Gestapo shows how the organization thrived on Hitler's insecurity until, as the Allies triumphed, its members were eventually rounded up and, as far as possible, brought to justice.

This audiobook serves as a guide to understand and deal with all pernicious and invisible forms of abuse. It provides keys to deal with their appearance in your own life.
Violence is too often acknowledged only when there is material proof of it. Abuse with physical damage gets the news and make authorities react. However, the earliest stages are invisible. You don't see them coming. Abuse is mental, emotional and energetic. Predators and emotional vampires should not be underestimated, since they are omnipresent in the shadows of our everyday lives.
The author had a 20 years career in the music business (that was before Internet), before leading a 30 years career as a renowned personal and spiritual coach in the French speaking parts of the world. He proposed an array of workshops and published two books. He now starts his third career, sharing his accumulated insights and wisdom in his "Wise" audiobook series. This is the first book of the series.
