Beschreibung

We aimed to condense everything you need to know to enter the world of European civil aviation. We've outlined the courses, prerequisites, privileges associated with each license and rating, and both the theoretical and practical pathways, including their requirements and challenges. We have provided helpful advice to assist you in making personal decisions freely and independently. There is no single "best" path; rather, each person must make informed choices, and we've tried to highlight the parameters to consider when doing so.

Aware that flight schools invest significant time in providing the essential information to lower entry barriers into the aviation world, we compiled this information to offer a tool that saves time, standardizes details, and serves as a guideline for communication. We've also included a section addressing the roles and responsibilities of students towards schools and vice versa, which can serve as a foundation for internal regulations and contractual agreements.

Global health is a field that aims to improve health and achieve equity in health for people around the world. It involves understanding health issues that go beyond national boundaries and are influenced by conditions in various parts of the globe. The primary goal of global health is to reduce health disparities and enhance well-being on an international level by examining how diseases spread, what factors affect health, and the most effective methods to improve public health outcomes.

Global health is defined as the study, research, and practice that focuses on improving health and promoting health equity for all populations across the world. It takes a collaborative approach that involves multiple disciplines to address health challenges globally, striving to reduce inequalities in health outcomes.

The importance of global health lies in its role in preventing and controlling diseases that can affect populations worldwide. Health issues like infectious diseases do not recognize national borders, and global health efforts are essential in minimizing their spread and impact. The field also emphasizes reducing differences in health outcomes among populations by working to ensure that all people have access to necessary healthcare services, regardless of where they live or their economic situation.

Written in a non-technical style by two archaeologists and experienced writers about the past, the story begins with human origins in Africa some six million years ago and the spread of our remote ancestors across the Old World. Then we return to Africa and describe the emergence of Homo sapiens (modern humans) over 300,000 years ago, then, much later, their permanent settlement of Europe, Eurasia, Asia, and the Americas. From hunters and foragers, we turn to the origins of farming and animal domestication in different parts of the world after about 11,000 years ago and show how these new economies changed human existence dramatically. The narratives chronicle the rise and fall of civilizations, and the devastating effects of long droughts on many of them. The closing chapter poses a question: Why is world prehistory important in the modern world? What does it tell us about ourselves?

Providing a simple, but entertaining and stimulating, account of the prehistoric past from human origins to today from a global perspective, World Prehistory: The Basics is the ideal guide to the story of our early human past and its relevance to the modern world.

A journey guided by science that explores the universe, the earth, and the story of life

For Irwin Shapiro, science starts with questions. This book provides a broad and entertaining survey of major scientific discoveries that have changed our views of nature and, in turn, spawned further questions.

Shapiro, an award-winning scientist and beloved teacher, separates his inquiry into three parts: looking up at the universe; looking down at the earth and its fossils; and looking in at the story of life. His framework encourages listeners to view science as a detective story—to observe and question nature and natural phenomena, and to base all conclusions on scientific evidence.

With his knowledgeable yet conversational approach, Shapiro offers an enjoyable way for the curious to learn about the foundations of a range of scientific topics: the motions of bodies in the cosmos, the history and structure of the earth, the evolution of organisms, and the search for extraterrestrial life and intelligence.
