Sinossi

Fun book to read, with lots of unexpected twists and turns. Wealthy, titled, and popular, a London society woman vanishes without a trace, and all trails lead back to a mystery man and a beautiful woman. Family friend Claude Bruce, the last to see her, is haunted by her disappearance, and can't let it go.
Bruce investigates the mystery in cooperation with (and sometimes at odds with) Inspector White of Scotland Yard--often the butt of comic relief.

Laura and Henry Frazier, David Gates, and Alice Bullowe are in Connecticut for Christmas. The family is staying in a country home Laura inherited from her aunt, Clara, and Alice, also a niece of the late Clara Beame, is more than a little disappointed by the terms of the will. As an edge of hostility threatens to spoil the party, the drama only grows as manipulative games are played, a blizzard roars outside, a surprise guest arrives—and the holiday turns more scary than merry . . . “One of the few mysteries where no one at all seems to be off limits as the murderer.” —Dead YesterdayPraise for Taylor Caldwell “Her sense of timing and her ability to keep even the most alert reader guessing is something readers don’t find very often.” —Hartford Courant “This bestselling author can tell an engrossing story.” —Publishers Weekly

YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES & JOHN WATSON
The case of the missing baby.
This completely new story I have written involves the 10 year old boys who will be the great detective Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson, his assistant, when they grow up, this is their formative years where they perfect their skills before adulthood on what my appear to be inconsequential subjects, but the principle remains the same.
This is just one of an extensive series I will be publishing as audio books in the very near future and I do hope you enjoy this first one, and its only $1.25 cents, all subsequent will remain at that price as I would not like price to be a barrier to your enjoyment.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes sets the scene, so to speak, a violin Holme's musical instrument of choice and is energetic and the closing music ends the tale on a more restrained mode and only about 1 minute.
The story itself runs to about 7 minutes 30 seconds and is of course a short story, it is read in my own voice.
The story involves the the disappearance of a baby, Albert just 2 months old, from his pram that Nanny Beatrice was responsible for. Albert was the son of the British Ambassador, Sir Eustace Carmichael, who lived in a magnificent Townhouse in Westminster. The baby was found hidden in a wardrobe upstairs to try and distract the Ambassador from his important work.
Needless to say Holmes solves the mystery, discovers baby Albert and is praised by Sir Eustace as being incredibly astute for his age.
The stories are designed to be entertaining to children of approximately the same age around 10 years old due to the characters involved.
I do hope you and you children, if applicable, enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come!

The local police blame foxes, but Clara knows better—especially when the ghost of her great-grandmother, the original Mrs. McCluck, appears with a warning about "foul play." Teaming up with her spectral ancestor and her unusually intelligent chickens, Clara discovers someone is trying to sabotage her farm to make way for a commercial poultry operation. From tampered feed to suspicious footprints in the coop, every clue points to someone in their small farming community. But with a dozen potential suspects—including a rival farmer, a pushy land developer, and the strangely nervous new veterinarian—Clara and her ghostly partner must work around the clock to crack the case. As they get closer to the truth, the living Mrs. McCluck realizes the ghost might be hiding secrets of her own, and the chickens might be the only witnesses who know what really happened that fateful night in the henhouse.
