When Winston Churchill died at the age of 90 in 1965, one of the most important figures in modern history had left the stage. From providing some of the 20th century’s greatest soundbites to successfully navigating Great Britain to victory in World War II against great odds, Churchill was at the forefront of events for decades, becoming one of the most influential Britons in history. In 2002, he was named the Greatest Briton of All Time, and 40 years earlier he was the first person to be made an Honorary Citizen of the United States.
Churchill will forever be most associated with World War II, but his life was far more adventurous and complex than that, and these other aspects of the man are often overlooked and overshadowed. He came from an aristocratic family, but his father, Lord Randolph Churchill, was not the firstborn son. That was important because the family estate was entailed, meaning the oldest son inherited the title of duke along with the land and the wealth. Thus, while Churchill grew up in Blenheim Palace, he did not inherit his family’s wealth, and that is one reason he became a correspondent and negotiated high rates of pay: he needed the income. The family’s aristocratic connections greatly facilitated his career, but it was his own courage, determination, and ability that led to his fame and historical importance, along with some phenomenal luck.
Before politics, Churchill was an officer in a cavalry regiment and a war correspondent, which took him to conflicts on four continents, and he escaped death more than once. His greatest escape was from a South African prison camp, which made him a national hero and greatly facilitated his election to Parliament.

The Meddler by Philip K. Dick - The hardest part of the "preordained" thesis to grasp is that the thesis itself is part of what must and shall be. Will time travel cause the end of the human race? Or will it allow them to fix the future?
They entered the great chamber. At the far end, technicians hovered around an immense illuminated board, following a complex pattern of lights that shifted rapidly, flashing through seemingly endless combinations. At long tables machines whirred -- computers, human-operated and robot. Wall-charts covered every inch of vertical space. Hasten gazed around him in amazement.
Wood laughed. "Come over here and I'll really show you something. You recognize this, don't you?" He pointed to a hulking machine surrounded by silent men and women in white lab robes.
"I recognize it," Hasten said slowly. "It's something like our own Dip, but perhaps twenty times larger. What do you haul up? And when do you haul?" He fingered the surface-plate of the Dip, then squatted down, peering into the maw. The maw was locked shut; the Dip was in operation. "You know, if we had any idea this existed, Histo-Research would have --"
"You know now." Wood bent down beside him. "Listen. Hasten, you're the first man from outside the Department ever to get into this room. You saw the guards. No one gets in here unauthorized; the guards have orders to kill anyone trying to enter illegally."
"To hide this? A machine? You'd shoot to --"
They stood, Wood facing him, his jaw hard. "Your Dip digs back into antiquity. Rome. Greece. Dust and old volumes." Wood touched the big Dip beside them. "This Dip is different. We guard it with our lives, and anyone else's lives; do you know why?"
"This Dip is set, not for antiquity, but -- for the future." Wood looked directly into Hasten's face. "Do you understand? The future." "You're dredging the future? But you can't! It's forbidden by law; you know that!"

    The Pendle Witches England 1600's
Book 2 of 7 The Tale of Anne Whittle /Old Chattox
The books are fictionally based on the true names and part facts of seven of the accused witches involved being sentenced to death mostly, although innocent, and is as follows:
Anne Whittle, known as Old Chattox, was once a beloved healer in Lancashire, her voice and herbal wisdom cherished by her village. But years of hardship turned her into a bitter outcast. When a devastating drought struck, her desperate plea to the spirits brought not salvation, but a flood—and with it, accusations of witchcraft. Betrayed by her former friend Demdike and cornered by a starving village, Chattox confessed to a devil’s pact to save her daughter, Anne Redferne, from execution. Condemned as a witch, she faced the gallows with defiance, whispering to the earth itself: "The earth remembers me." Her death did not silence her. To this day, her spirit lingers on Pendle Hill, a ghostly reminder of injustice, her voice carried by the wind—a cunning woman who refused to be forgotten.
This is the second book in a series of seven audiobooks and I do hope you enjoy this second instalment, and it's only $3 dollars, all subsequent will remain at that price.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes plus, called Haunting Elegy, uses flute and harp to set the scene of witches living life as they could. The closing music ends in a sad way, called Melancholy same instrumental at nearly 3 minutes as the fate that befalls these innocent people awaits them.!
The story itself runs to about 13 minutes, and and is narrated in my own voice.
    Prologue chapters and Epilogue,
