  The poems written in this book were composed in over 20 different countries & different cities including Australia, Bali, Brooklyn, Budapest, Colombia, Cyprus, Greece, India, Israel, Istanbul, Los Angeles, Madagascar, Miami, New Zealand, Oklahoma, Portugal, Romania, Sydney, Tbilisi, Thailand, & The Hamptons & Ukraine. 
  I left a piece of my heart in each one of these places that I visited along with leaving a piece of my heart, with every one of those amazing souls that I met & connected with along the way, a lot of who I still know to this day. Those out there know who you are so I don’t need to name names. 
  I’ve been traveling the world for several decades, but I notice this most recent trip felt the most strange & I can’t just blame COVID for this post COVID feeling. See something has just fundamentally changed the whole global vibe is a bit off & I don’t just mean the obvious stuff.  
  Sure there’s the political chaos with right & left becoming increasingly polarized which is absolutely heartbreaking because if we put our differences aside we’d see we have more similarities than differences what I'm really talking about a fundamental change in the individual.  
  We're spending way more time with machines than we are spending with each other & a lot of the time we spend interacting with each other is done through machines instead of directly with each other. 
  It’s as if we are recognizing each other’s existences less & less. 
  On top of this a majority of people including myself seem tired “out of it” directionless & disassociated. Maybe I’m trippin’ but I can’t be imagining all these things, it can’t just be me.  
  So yeah, a lot more to say, but I’m just going to stop here & let the poems contained in this book do the explaining,

The book draws a contraxt of the family’s experiences as genocide refugees living in Crete and the boy’s life in America; how these events and those of World War II on the Greek island of Crete influenced them and their children; and his relationship as adults with the boy’s son, the author. The author emphasizes the Christian Orthodox Faith which was tousht to him by his parents. In response to a question about his Faith, the book and why he has written this book, the author stated “It was a lesson by my father to his kids that no matter what you’re confronted with in life if you trust in Christ and you believe without a doubt that Christ is with you, you can get through anything. That was what we learned at a very early age and that’s what stuck with me throughout my life.".....

  In virtually all fields of human endeavor, ancient Greece was so much at the forefront of dynamism and innovation that the products of its most brilliant minds remain not only influential but entirely relevant to this day. The great philosophers of Athens, men like Aristotle, Socrates, and Plato, interrogated themselves with startling complexity about the nature of good and evil, questioned the existence of divinity, advocated intelligent design, and went so far as to argue that all life was composed of infinitesimal particles.  
  	Although the school of philosophy started by Socrates and championed by Plato and Aristotle continues to be the most famous, other schools of thought began to branch, including the Epicureans and Cynics. In the 3rd century B.C., Stoicism arose in response to and under the influence of these older schools, combining many of the best theories from each into a more cohesive whole. With a greater flexibility and more practical application to everyday life, Stoicism quickly became a very popular school of thought, a growth made exponential by its introduction to the Romans.  
  Today, very few have heard of him, but he became a major philosophical and religious figure through the publication of his thoughts, travels, and miracles by Philostratus the Elder (c. 170-247 A.D.), written about a century after Apollonius of Tyana’s death. Philostratus the Elder’s works were based on the works of other writers (Maximus of Aegae, Damis, and Moeragenes), and miracles attributed to Apollonius were often compared to those of Jesus, who lived around the same time. Apollonius’s cult was important throughout the whole of the Pagan era and even carried on into the Middle Ages. Why such an important philosopher has been so forgotten by modern historians is in itself an interesting issue, and it is just as crucial to understand what Apollonius preached and the information he provided about his contemporary world.
