"Babylon Legacy" delves into the profound impact of the Babylonians on shaping modern civilization by examining their groundbreaking contributions to law, science, and culture in the ancient Near East. The book highlights how the Code of Hammurabi, with its detailed legal principles, laid an early foundation for structured societies. Furthermore, it explores their sophisticated mathematical and astronomical advancements, revealing a society far more scientifically literate than often perceived.

The book progresses chronologically, starting with the geographical and historical context of Babylonia, then moving into a detailed analysis of the Code of Hammurabi and Babylonian scientific achievements. It culminates in an exploration of how Babylonian religious beliefs, literary traditions, and artistic styles spread throughout the ancient Middle East. This approach allows readers to understand the progression and lasting impact of Babylonian innovations.

What if laughter held more truth than solemnity? What if wisdom danced - light-footed, irreverent, and defiant - instead of cloaking itself in the heavy robes of tradition?
In The Joyful Wisdom (also known as La Gaya Scienza), Friedrich Nietzsche unveils a luminous and lyrical philosophy that challenges the deepest convictions of Western thought. Written during a moment of personal renewal, this daring work blends poetry, paradox, and razor-sharp insight into a celebration of life’s uncertainties—and the courage to embrace them.
Here, Nietzsche proclaims the death of God - not as despair, but as a liberation from dogma. He guides us through a labyrinth of aphorisms that question morality, truth, art, and the nature of existence itself. In the celebrated Book IV, "Sanctus Januarius," we find the seeds of eternal recurrence, a provocative vision of time and will that shaped existential and postmodern thought. The closing section, “Songs of Prince Vogelfrei,” offers poetic fragments that sing with ecstatic defiance.
Nietzsche’s legacy endures not only in philosophy but in literature, psychology, and cultural theory. His voice - bold, ironic, and unrelentingly modern -continues to speak to anyone seeking to break free from inherited beliefs and live with creative authenticity.
This immersive audiobook experience allows you to hear Nietzsche’s rhythmic prose and aphorisms in clear, intelligent narration powered by advanced AI -delivering both precision and nuance, perfectly suited to the musicality and complexity of the original text.
Step into the vibrant mind of one of history’s most original thinkers. Let The Joyful Wisdom unsettle, awaken, and inspire.

  • The Marriage Of Heaven And Hell - cover

The Marriage Of Heaven And Hell

    William Blake

Brought to you by Altrusian Grace Media and narrated by Matthew Schmitz. "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell is a book by the English poet and printmaker William Blake. It is a series of texts written in imitation of biblical prophecy but expressing Blake's own intensely personal Romantic and revolutionary beliefs. Like his other books, it was published as printed sheets from etched plates containing prose, poetry, and illustrations. The plates were then coloured by Blake and his wife Catherine. It opens with an introduction of a short poem entitled "Rintrah roars and shakes his fires in the burden'd air". William Blake claims that John Milton was a true poet and his epic poem Paradise Lost was "of the Devil's party without knowing it". He also claims that Milton's Satan was truly his Messiah. The work was composed between 1790 and 1793, in the period of radical ferment and political conflict during the French Revolution. The title is an ironic reference to Emanuel Swedenborg's theological work Heaven and Hell, published in Latin 33 years earlier. Swedenborg is directly cited and criticised by Blake in several places in the Marriage. Though Blake was influenced by his grand and mystical cosmic conception, Swedenborg's conventional moral strictures and his Manichaean view of good and evil led Blake to express a deliberately depolarised and unified vision of the cosmos in which the material world and physical desire are equally part of the divine order; hence, a marriage of heaven and hell. The book is written in prose, except for the opening "Argument" and the "Song of Liberty". The book describes the poet's visit to Hell, a device adopted by Blake from Dante's Divine Comedy and Milton's Paradise Lost."

From Stanford professor, author of Limitless Mind, youcubed.org founder, and leading expert in the field of mathematics education Jo Boaler comes a groundbreaking guide to finding joy and understanding by adopting a diverse approach to learning math.
“Every once in a while, someone revolutionizes an approach to a difficult subject and changes it forever. That is what Jo Boaler has done for math. Fresh, smart, and inclusive, Jo Boaler's strategy eschews the one-size-fits-a-few approach and instead allows math to be seen and solved by everyone. A huge achievement. Math-ish is the only math book I’ve ever enjoyed reading in my entire life. Honestly.” -Bonnie Garmus, author of Lessons in Chemistry
Mathematics is a fundamental part of life, yet every one of us has a unique relationship with learning and understanding the subject. Working with numbers may inspire confidence in our abilities or provoke anxiety and trepidation. Stanford researcher, mathematics education professor, and the leading expert on math learning Dr. Jo Boaler argues that our differences are the key to unlocking our greatest mathematics potential.
In Math-ish, Boaler shares new neuroscientific research on how embracing the concept of “math-ish”—a theory of mathematics as it exists in the real world—changes the way we think about mathematics, data, and ourselves. When we can see the value of diversity among people and multi-faceted approaches to learning math, we are free to truly flourish. Utilizing the latest research on math education, Jo guides us through seven principles that can radically reframe our relationship with the subject:
    • The power of mindset on learning
    • Utilizing a visual approach to math
    • The impact of physical movement and communication on understanding
    • Understanding the value of an ""ish"" perspective - in mathematics and beyond
    • The importance of connected and flexible knowledge
    • New data on diverse teaching modes that work with different learning styles, not against them
    • The value of diversity in learning mathematics—and beyond
When mathematics is approached more broadly, inclusively, and with a greater sense of wonder and play—when we value the different ways people see, approach, and understand it—we empower ourselves and gain a beneficial understanding of its value in our lives.

Kelly McMasters found herself in her mid-thirties living her fantasy: she'd moved with her husband, a painter, from New York City to rural Pennsylvania, where their children roamed idyllic acres in rainboots and diapers. The pastoral landscape and the bookshop they opened were restorative at first, for her and her marriage. But soon, she was quietly plotting her escape.

In The Leaving Season, McMasters chronicles the heady rush of falling in love and carving out a life in the city, the slow dissolution of her relationship in an isolated farmhouse, and the complexities of making a new home for herself and her children as a single parent. She delves into the tricky and often devastating balance between seeing and being seen; loss and longing; desire and doubt; and the paradox of leaving what you love in order to survive.

Whether considering masculinity in the countryside through the life of a freemartin calf, the vulnerability of new motherhood in the wake of a car crash, or the power of community pulsing through an independent bookshop, The Leaving Season finds in every ending a new beginning.
