Sinossi

"What is the Lord saying for this year?" I am asked every year. For years, I had been searching and asking the Lord what He had planned for His people for the coming year. Because of my upbringing and environment, I found myself always including more of an "army" and "militant" attitude when delivering the Lord's word. You must realize that whenever you get a prophecy from the Lord, it will be delivered through an imperfect vessel. So, when we hear the Lord's voice, it must come through our experiences, thoughts, attitudes, theology, and doctrines. Can you imagine the prophetic message having to pass through all of that before it comes out of our mouths to deliver to the person to whom we are prophesying? This is why it is critical that we shrink in order for Christ to increase in us. It's critical that we don't put our concepts, beliefs, or traditions on a pedestal. To put it another way, when the Lord speaks to us, we should never let our faith stand in the way of conveying the message He has for His people.

The Home of God - A Brief Story...

We live in the midst of a crisis of home. It is evident in the massive uprooting and migration of millions across the globe, in the anxious nationalism awaiting immigrants in their destinations, in the unhoused populations in wealthy cities, in the fractured households of families, and in the worldwide destruction of habitats and international struggles for dominance. It is evident, perhaps more quietly but just as truly, in the aching sense that there is nowhere we truly belong.

In this moment, the Christian faith has been disappointingly inept in its response. We need a better witness to the God who created, loves, and reconciles this world, who comes to dwell among us.

This book tells the "story of everything" in which God creates the world as the home for humans and for God in communion with God's creatures. The authors render the story of creation, redemption, and consummation through the lens of God's homemaking work and show the theological fruit of telling the story this way. The result is a vision that can inspire creative Christian living in our various homes today in faithfulness to God's ongoing work.

    · A radical and loving alternative to today's cancel culture
    · Beautifully designed book is a perfect Lenten read or Bible study

On the last night of Jesus's life, He picked up a towel and washed His disciples' feet--people who would soon betray, deny, and abandon Him--giving an example of what it really means to love and forgive like the King. He clothed Himself in humility, providing for us a picture of what it really means to follow Him.

This book is an invitation to sit on the footwashing stool and let Jesus heal you, then kneel with the King and learn how to wash the feet of your friends and enemies. We need this picture--and this posture--more than ever. All around us are disappointed, disillusioned, and wounded people, covered with the grime of ambition, jealousy, self-protection, church hurt, broken relationships, and world-weary hearts. Jesus calls us to kneel before them, whether they are friend or foe, to perform acts of love, mercy, and healing.

Through her compelling writing and viral artwork, Jessica Claire Bond unpacks what it means to "wash feet" in this generation. She reveals the profound meaning behind this timeless message of serving and loving others, challenging us to reconsider the overlooked, shunned, and marginalized in order to model the humility and love of our King. Ultimately, whoever is on the seat, He's the one washing the feet.

The words we say and the things we pray matter to God and to our health. Where we rest our gaze and how we think about God directly impacts the condition of our souls. Proverbs 14:30 states, "A heart at peace gives life to the body." God is well able to restore and renew us even when culture swirls around us. The world needs healing. But we can't impart what we don't possess.
Scripture highlights the significance of 40 days as a kind of pilgrimage or spiritual journey toward a deeper dependence and reliance upon God. Science highlights how 40 days of practice (of a habit, a renewed thought, a healthy discipline, etc.) directly impacts our brain's structure and physiological health.
