Sinopse

Quinn Osbourne is pleased when good looking and friendly Jacob Beauregard moves into the apartment next to his. They hit it off, and even though Jacob is apparently straight, they quickly form a friendship. Jacob is wowed when he discovers that Quinn is not only an artist, but also The Banished, a street artist who paints large murals around Brooklyn. During an expedition to show Jacob his latest effort, Quinn sprains his ankle badly and is confined to his bed with a cold compress and unrequited lust for Jacob.
Fogged by pain and alcohol, Quinn orders himself a naughty toy for Christmas. He is mortified when he realizes the gift was delivered to Jacob. How on earth can this embarrassment be resolved to everyone's satisfaction?

    THE SAME COUNTRY
    A Novel
From the bestselling author of Tales from the Tail and The Fearless Fifteen comes an unforgettable story of love, friendship and the loss of innocence in the First World War.
    August 1914.
Lieutenant Rupert Drummond rides out with the Blackmore Vale Hunt across the rolling hills and vales of Dorset, believing that the England he loves will still be waiting when he returns.
Within days he is serving with the Royal Horse Guards in Belgium, where the optimism of the "war to end all wars" is swept away by the devastating realities of Mons, the Great Retreat, Loos, the Somme, Arras and Passchendaele.
Behind him lies Elizabeth Ashcombe, the woman he loves but has never dared to tell. Beside him rides Charles Stanier, his closest friend—a brilliant cavalry officer admired by everyone, yet burdened by a secret that slowly threatens to destroy him. Together they witness the end of an age as courage is tested, friendships are forged in battle and lives are changed forever.
While the guns thunder across Flanders, those left behind in Dorset fight battles of their own. Families endure unimaginable loss, women take on new responsibilities, and a peaceful rural England begins to disappear forever.
When Rupert finally returns home in 1918, he discovers that survival is only the beginning. The country he longed to return to no longer exists, and neither does the man who left it.
Powerful, moving and meticulously researched, The Same Country is an epic story of love, duty, sacrifice and the invisible wounds of war.
Perfect for readers of Birdsong, Regeneration, All Quiet on the Western Front and anyone who enjoys richly atmospheric historical fiction grounded in real events.

Winter Holliday is devoted to her friends, her career, the quaint town of Anneville, and Christmas—though not necessarily in that order. Romance is not on her agenda, no matter how much her friends, coworkers, and neighbors try to convince her otherwise. As the cochair and vice president of the Anneville Special Events Committee, she can't imagine abandoning her duties for a fling with her high school crush, Avery Sumner.

Avery left Anneville to become a successful, albeit often frustrated, record producer in New York. When her top star makes some capricious demands, Avery finds herself back in Anneville, where life suddenly seems more inviting.

Despite an undeniable attraction between Winter and Avery, a series of missed opportunities and hilarious obstacles constantly seem to get in the way of the simplest thing in the world: falling in love.

We longed. We lost. We loved. Desperately.
I thought I had my life all figured out. But after a college football accident leaves me deaf, I was learning how to live all over again.
I expected the anger, the frustration, and the struggle to readjust, but what I didn’t expect to happen amongst the chaos, was to fall in love.
    Especially not with two men.
Rough-edged puzzle pieces, Rhys, Samuel, and I were nothing but aching memories, painful realities, and hidden scars.
We were products of our pasts, abandoned and unloved, messy and complicated. Individually we had baggage; together we had mountains to climb.
But when the three of us were tangled up in one another, spilling secrets in the dark, hearts beating in sync, nothing else mattered but them.
We needed to break the cycle, because they deserved love… And who knows, maybe I finally did too.
