Sinossi

How to Be Kind follows Buttercup the Bee through activities and strategies to help children learn to be kind to themselves and others. Each section of the book focuses on completing concrete activities and learning specific skills to achieve the goal of improving empathy, social skills, and understanding. Children are encouraged to complete these workbook activities with a parent, caregiver, therapist, or teacher.

In a world full of different paths, leading with kindness will guide children to choose empathy over apathy, compassion over callousness, and love over hate. How to be Kind: Making the World a Better Place through Empathy and Compassion is a workbook that walks children through a series of activities and strategies to develop the tools needed to improve social skills, resolve conflicts, make good decisions, and boost their emotional intelligence. Our children rely on us as a resource and a guide to become mindful, caring, and kind, and this workbook will help you navigate your way through heart-warming lessons and tough conversations, creating a safe space for you and your child to grow.

Looking to help a child blossom into a kind and caring individual? Research shows that kindness can boost a child's well-being, emotional intelligence, and social competence, leading to a fulfilling life.

As mental health challenges continue to plague our young people, this book provides parents, teachers, therapists, and caregivers with activities and strategies to build social skills and emotional intelligence, giving children the tools needed to improve their self-worth and relationships with others. Follow Buttercup the Bee to skill-building lessons in self-care, manners, meditations, and listening to others.

"The Reluctant Dragon" is an 1898 children's story by Kenneth Grahame, originally published as a chapter in his book Dream Days. It is Grahame's most famous short story, arguably better known than Dream Days itself or the related 1895 collection The Golden Age. It can be seen as a prototype to most modern stories in which the dragon is a sympathetic character rather than a threat
The story takes place in the Berkshire Downs in Oxfordshire (where the author lived and where, according to legend, St. George did fight a dragon).
In Grahame's story, a young boy discovers an erudite, poetry-loving dragon living in the Downs above his home. The two become friends, but soon afterwards the dragon is discovered by the townsfolk, who send for St George to rid them of him. The boy introduces St George to the dragon, and the two decide that it would be better for them not to fight. Eventually, they decide to stage a fake joust between the two combatants. As the two have planned, St George harmlessly spears the dragon through a shallow fold of skin suggested by the dragon, and the townsfolk rejoice (though not all of them, as some had placed bets on the dragon winning). St George then proclaims that the dragon has been reformed, assuring the townsfolk he's not dangerous, and the dragon is accepted by the people.

Christmas is a season of wonder, joy, and togetherness. It's a time when children dream of Santa, gifts, and magical adventures, while families come together to celebrate the spirit of giving. Merry Christmas - Sparkles in Santa’s Workshop is a storybook created to capture the heart of this joyful season, bringing young readers into a world of twinkling lights, joyful elves, and a magical workshop where the wonders of Christmas are born.
Through the eyes of Ella, a curious and kind-hearted child, this story takes readers on a festive journey filled with adventure, wonder, and valuable lessons. From the bustling activity of Santa’s Workshop to the snowy enchantment of the Glittering Forest, every chapter holds a message about kindness, generosity, and the importance of giving from the heart.
This book was inspired by the desire to bring the warmth and joy of Christmas to children and families, reminding us all that the true magic of the holiday lies not in the presents we receive but in the love we share. Each chapter is crafted to engage young minds, encouraging them to embrace the spirit of the season, value friendship, and discover the joy of giving.
As you turn these pages, I hope you and your family will be transported into the magical world of the North Pole, where Santa, his joyful elves, and a very special girl named Ella work together to bring the spirit of Christmas to life. May this book be a reminder that the real sparkle of Christmas comes not from glittering decorations or shiny presents but from the kindness and joy we give to each other.
Merry Christmas, and may the magic of the season shine brightly in your hearts!

What an amazing episode! My guest Star is here to talk to us about the "heroine's journey". The heroine's journey came about in 1990 when Maureen Murdock, a psychologist published a book called The Heroine's Journey: Woman's Quest for Wholeness.
My guest Star is here to talk to us about Heroine's Journey and we are discussing the heroine's journey in Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables and Jo's heroine's journey in Little Women. I was told that Gilbert's proposal to Anne in the 80s AOGG is almost exactly the same as Laurie's proposal to Jo in 1933 Little Women. Of course, I had to check if this was true and I have recorded these two proposals and mine and Star's reactions. It is an interesting detail and I think it might be one of the reasons why so many people somehow link Anne and Gil and Jo and Laurie together. Oh Hollywood what do you do to us?
