Sinopsis

Deception within illusion as the cameras roll.

Can't Lady Justice see what's going on?

A new normalcy is returning to the little French seaside town of Beaucoup-sur-Mer. It is now considered safe to resume the production of the film about Henry VIII's visit to Francis I's renaissance palace at Cognac. White witch Penzi's friends, the A list couple, Izzy Tointon and her husband, Brent McGill, start the cameras rolling once more.

At first all goes well. The actors are happy to be back at work. Then the atmosphere amongst cast and crew deteriorates. Tempers fray. Innuendo and gossip are rife. The tension escalates to murder. White witch Penzi finds herself having to step in to replace the victim because the show must go on. Felix, Penzi's shapeshifting bodyguard, doesn't want her anywhere near the cameras, let alone the murderer whoever he may be.

However, Penzi stands by her friends and is drawn into solving the murder, putting all thought of personal danger aside in the fight of good against evil. Perhaps she won't find it so easy to tell the difference this time.

the truth she finds herself identifying with the victim in increasing, unsettling ways, and realizes she must confront her own past—failed romances, a disturbing experience she’d rather forget, and the trick mirror of nostalgia itself—if she wants to survive this homecoming.

The threat of nuclear war keeps Hawk Hunter in the cockpit—from the author who delivers “desperate, raw, 200-proof action” (Stephen Coonts).   In the chaos that followed the end of World War III, Major Hawk Hunter took refuge in the arms of a woman named Dominique. As he waged war against the Soviets, fighting to restore the United States, the nation’s greatest fighter pilot and the woman he loved became the most famous couple of the Free World. But Hunter’s campaign soon tore them apart, and he was forced to send her to Canada, where his enemies claimed Dominique as their own. Drugged, tortured, and imprisoned, she waits helplessly—praying for his return. After leading a daring raid to rescue his beloved, Hunter announces his retirement, declaring that only a nuclear threat could get him back into the cockpit. But such a threat is coming—in the sleek black nuclear submarines now steaming toward the eastern seaboard, whose warheads threaten everything Hunter has fought to rebuild. Skyfire is the eighth book of the Wingman series, which also includes Wingman and The Circle War.

A secret treaty will determine whether England can survive against Napoleon—Captain Grey races across the Atlantic to intercept a Spanish treasure fleet.

Vienna—June 1804. At the glittering debut of Beethoven's Eroica Symphony, a Spanish diplomat meets with Captain Thomas Grey, agent of His Majesty's Secret Service. In exchange for a gigantic bribe, the Spaniard discloses Spain's most closely-held secret, the terms of its San Ildefonso Treaty with France. Spain's neutrality in Napoleon's war on Britain is only a ruse to keep the British navy from attacking the last great treasure-armada, now gathering in South America. Spanish warships will depart the port of Montevideo carrying 2,000 tons of gold; when the gold is safely in Madrid, Spain will declare war on Britain, ally with France, and divide the British Empire between them. Britain's only hope is a preemptive strike—to cripple Spain by capturing the armada on the high seas. The responsibility of delivering that blow falls to Grey.

🎭 History teacher and community theater director Priscilla Pilgrim is directing the town's annual Thanksgiving pageant when the play's wealthy producer—a notorious historical revisionist—is found dead backstage, tangled in Mayflower rigging with a suspiciously altered script in hand. The police suspect a tragic accident, but Priscilla notices the historical costumes have been deliberately misrepresented and the victim's production notes contain coded messages about historical fraud. With the pageant's opening night approaching and the historical society in an uproar, Priscilla must rewrite the script to uncover the truth. Assisted by her drama students and the handsome museum curator analyzing historical artifacts, Priscilla uncovers a scheme involving artifact forgery, historical document theft, and a plot to rewrite local history for profit. From suspicious fabric dyes that reveal modern materials to prop documents that don't match the period, every costume piece tells a story. But when Priscilla discovers the victim was systematically altering historical records to claim ancestral land rights, she realizes the killer is protecting historical truth more valuable than any production budget. With opening night hours away and the real historical forger still staging deception, Priscilla must direct the investigation before her own reputation gets permanently cast aside.
