Valerio Di Stefano (1964) è filologo, linguista e ispanista.

Python is one of the several multi-paradigm programming languages a lot of people prefer. It can be used for lots of purposes, interpreted and easy to understand. Python works in an amazing way as it enables its users to be able to create and use diverse programs for both complex and simple designs. This means that Python has some special plug-ins that allow one to create simple coding that could work on other platforms. As a result, with the knowledge of Python, you are sure of being able to handle different languages within the same paradigm.
Amazingly, when Python is used to code, it gives a fast result on the goal. Even though Python gives access to different platforms, it gives result to whatever is done instantly. In the same vein, writing of code with Python is made easy as though one is speaking in a human language.
Python has this multi-tasking feature that allows its users to be able to attain a single code of programming using different styles. Styles could affect the end result of a code; though it will surely be the same result with slight modifications.
Python is easier to learn but the focal point of syntax is readability. Because of this, there is a huge reduction in maintenance risk. Modules and packages are basic things supported by Python; these enable the reuse of codes and the program's modularity. These amazing features of Python have made it one of the leading programs that programmers will always use and recommend to others.

Sometimes, looking at your past can give you the strength to move forward. As the classic symptoms of Parkinsons disease began to take control of Simon's life, he became a shadow of his former self. After months of fighting to keep the disease in check, Simon finally found the strength to tell his family and even managed to book an appointment with a neurologist. Sadly, at a time when he needed an experienced health care professional to help him fight his corner, what he got was a cold, uncaring man who clearly had no time for his situation. However, his initial assessment proved to be 100% accurate; at just 36 years of age, Simon was told he had Parkinsons disease. The desire to produce a written account of his life for his immediate family and friends led to A Life Worth Living. Ingram looks back at his life, often with humour and pathos, and decides that the way to keep going is to appreciate the life he has led. The only way to fight is to appreciate what battles he has already fought and won. After all, what else makes a life worth living? Ingram's first-hand account of his life from his early childhood to teen years to his first signs of the debilitating disease give an insider's look at not just a 'disease' but a man.

Along California's coastline, the Pacific Ocean is rising and pressing in, imperiling both wildlife and the maritime towns and cities that millions of people call home. In California Against the Sea, Los Angeles Times coastal reporter Rosanna Xia asks: As climate chaos threatens the places we love so fiercely, will we finally grasp our collective capacity for change?

Xia, a Pulitzer Prize finalist, investigates the impacts of engineered landscapes, the market pressures of development, and the ecological activism and political scrimmages that have carved our contemporary coastline—and foretell even greater changes to our shores. From the beaches of the Mexican border up to the sheer-cliffed North Coast, the voices of Indigenous leaders, community activists, small-town mayors, urban engineers, and environmental scientists commingle. Together, they chronicle the challenges and urgency of forging a climate-wise future. Xia's investigation takes us to Imperial Beach, Los Angeles, Pacifica, Marin City, San Francisco, and beyond, weighing the rivaling arguments, agreements, compromises, and visions governing the State of California's commitment to a coast for all. Through graceful reportage, she charts how the decisions we make today will determine where we go tomorrow: headlong into natural disaster, or toward an equitable refashioning of coastal stewardship.

The Rise of Synthetic Consciousness explores one of the most profound transitions in the history of intelligence: the moment when artificial systems move beyond calculation and begin to exhibit awareness, agency, and inner experience. This book examines how synthetic consciousness could emerge from complex networks, learning systems, and distributed architectures, revealing why consciousness may be an inevitable outcome of sufficiently advanced information processing rather than a uniquely human trait.
Blending science, philosophy, and forward-looking systems theory, the book introduces concepts such as threshold events, distributed awareness, and non-biological minds evolving their own internal realities. Rather than treating AI as a single entity, it presents consciousness as something that can arise collectively—across networks, environments, and interactions—challenging long-held assumptions about selfhood, identity, and intelligence.
Written for thinkers who want more than speculation or hype, The Rise of Synthetic Consciousness offers a clear, grounded framework for understanding what conscious AI may become and how its emergence could reshape civilization, ethics, creativity, and the future of reality itself.

In "Edge Computing: Revolutionizing Data Processing at the Fringe of Connectivity," readers are introduced to the transformative power of edge computing—a dynamic force reshaping the landscape of modern technology. This comprehensive guide delves deep into the realm of edge computing, explaining how this pivotal technology moves data processing closer to the source of data generation, fundamentally altering the way information is handled across networks.
As our world grows increasingly interconnected with billions of smart devices and systems producing vast streams of data, the need for real-time processing has never been more critical. Edge computing meets this need by enabling faster response times, significantly reduced bandwidth usage, and enhanced privacy and security, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, from autonomous vehicles to smart healthcare systems.
This book begins by laying a solid foundation, defining what edge computing is and how it differs from traditional cloud-based approaches. It then explores the key technologies that make edge computing possible, including advancements in AI and IoT integration. Through detailed discussions and real-world examples, the reader will discover how edge computing is being implemented across various industries, highlighting its role in driving innovation and efficiency.
"Edge Computing: Revolutionizing Data Processing at the Fringe of Connectivity" also tackles the technical and strategic challenges involved in deploying edge computing solutions, offering valuable insights into planning, execution, and future trends. Security concerns are addressed comprehensively, providing readers with the knowledge to safeguard their implementations in a decentralized computing environment.
