Auflage des Greek New Testament (GNT6) und kommentiert sämtliche Apparateinträge des GNT6 in knapper und verständlicher Sprache. Die Ausgabe eignet sich auch zum Gebrauch mit NA28 und NA29, da diese Ausgaben auch alle Apparateinträge des GNT6 beinhalten (mit anderer Zeugenauswahl). In einer ausführichen Einleitung werden außerdem zentrale Informationen über die neutestamentliche Textüberlieferung, grundlegende Prinzipien der Textkritik sowie den Gebrauch des Greek New Testament gegeben. 
  Der Autor H.A.G. Houghton ist Mitglied des Herausgebergremiums für NA29 und GNT6 und damit hervorragend geeignet, die Entscheidungen des Gremiums bei der Erarbeitung beider Ausgaben zu erläutern.
  Die Ausgabe ersetzt den Kommentar von Bruce M. Metzger, der seit Jahrzehnten als Standardwerk gilt, mittlerweile aber forschungsgeschichtlich überholt ist.
