Two Treatises of Government John Locke - First published anonymously in December 1689, John Lockes Two Treatises of Government are considered to be some of the most important works of political philosophy ever written. In the first treatise Locke disputes the divine right of monarchial rule principle that is put forth in the book Patriarcha by Sir Robert Filmer. The first treatise is in fact a sentence by sentence refutation of Patriarcha. Filmer asserts the idea that absolute authority over the world flows from the Biblical Adam and his ownership of the world and that the heir of Adam is the rightful inheritor of this authority. Locke dismisses this line of reasoning that authority flows from some divine lineage to the first man in favor of a system based on natural laws and consent of the people. In the second treatise Locke sets forth the basic principles of natural law that lay the foundation for basic human rights and the government of man. Also contained within this volume is the shorter work, A Letter Concerning Toleration.

Rugrats is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon. The series premiered on August 11, 1991, and ran for 9 seasons, totaling 172 episodes. It is Nickelodeon’s third-longest-running animated series, behind SpongeBob SquarePants and The Fairly OddParents. The series is also notable for depicting observant Jewish families. Rugrats received numerous awards, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A reboot of the series premiered on Paramount+ in 2021.
CURIOUS FACT SAMPLES:
The series Rugrats was created by the then-husband-and-wife duo of Gábor Csupó and Arlene Klasky, along with Paul Germain. The trio were also animating The Simpsons at the time and decided to create their own series after Nickelodeon announced that they were launching their own line of animated series.
The original pilot episode of Rugrats, titled "Tommy Pickles and the Great White Thing," was never actually aired. This pilot was eventually released on DVD by Paramount Home Entertainment in 2001.
The character of Angelica was based on a bully from Paul Germain’s childhood. Although Klasky initially disliked the character of Angelica, she eventually came to appreciate her role in the show.
