After a successful ten-year career in Information Technology as a programmer analyst, Robinson earned a doctorate in English with a specialization in American Studies and a concentration in African American literature, culture, and history at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is currently an Associate Professor of English Emeritus at Goucher College. He has presented papers on James Baldwin regionally, nationally, and internationally, and published four journal articles on Baldwin’s fiction, as well as on issues of race, gender, and sexuality, and the neo-slave narrative genre.
