Sinossi

The Path of the King follows the lineage of a legendary Viking prince whose ancient band of gold is passed down through generations, linking the descendants through time. As each heir inherits the coveted relic, will they use its power and symbolism to unite or divide? When the crown lands on the head of an impassioned Scottish nobleman, he must navigate political intrigue, war, betrayal, and his own ideals to become one of history's most iconic rulers. This sweeping saga by John Buchan intricately weaves the destiny of a people, the weight of royalty, and the makings of leadership into a riveting tale that shaped the course of a nation.

In Mr Mulliner, P.G Wodehouse (1881 -1975) has created a conduit for all manner of tall tales. The amiable gentleman happily regales the drinkers in the Angler’s Rest Pub with fascinating stories, usually about his own relatives, which range from the somewhat dubious, to the downright unbelievable.
Welcome to this eccentric world inhabited by Curates and Bishops high on health tonic, and a lovesick chap who utilises beauty remedies to win his love. A world where a deceased author’s cottage appears to exert a sentimental influence on all who enter, and where an earthquake can lead to marriage.

Wodehouse’s most famous creations the implacable “Jeeves” and the archetypal English toff “Bertie Wooster” are only the tip of the author’s considerable output. A master of humorous prose, he published over ninety books, forty plays and two hundred short stories.

Narrated by Tony Award-winning actress and musician Cynthia Erivo, Persuasion is one of the most moving love stories Austen ever penned. It's the story of Anne Elliott, Jane Austen's only aging heroine, who has devoted her life to caring for her financially irresponsible family. Just when she is growing content with her uneventful lifestyle, a long-lost love re-enters the picture — now as the potential beau of her significantly younger cousin. Anne is then faced with a choice: will she watch Captain Wentworth settle into life with another woman, or will she strive to win back his love and escape her family? Austen understood that mediated and misdirected messages frequently carry a far greater charge than explicit declarations. Persuasion pulsates with the energy of the lovers’ efforts to communicate, often indirectly, across gaps of time and perspective.
