Sinossi

After Dr. Amelia Evans’s friend is murdered in a Wren-designed church in Central London, DCI's Vance and Shepherd are called in to investigate the case.

They discover that Evans had stumbled across a centuries-old secret about the Philosophers’ Stone, and that there are unscrupulous people who will stop at nothing to get their hands on it.

The doctor's life is threatened by rogue Freemasons, and she also needs to fend off those who would save her. Resolving the Stone's Enigma could bring her a professorship and the Nobel Prize, but at what cost?

A compelling crime mystery, THE WREN ENIGMA is the sixth book in John Broughton's Vance And Shepherd Mysteries series.

YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES & JOHN WATSON
The case of the lost fireworks and guy.
This completely new story I have written involves the 10 year old boys who will be the great detective Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson, his assistant, when they grow up, this is their formative years where they perfect their skills before adulthood on what my appear to be inconsequential subjects, but the principle remains the same.
This is just one of an extensive series I will be publishing as audio books in the very near future and I do hope you enjoy this first one, and its only $1.25 cents, all subsequent will remain at that price as I would not like price to be a barrier to your enjoyment.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes sets the scene, so to speak, a violin Holme's musical instrument of choice and is energetic and the closing music ends the tale on a more restrained mode and only about 1 minute.
The story itself runs to about 7 minutes 30 seconds and is of course a short story, it is read in my own voice.
The story starts on 4th November 1895 in the grounds of Buckingham Palace and it discovered that all the fireworks and the guy ready for the next day's night celebrating Guy Fawks (who nearly blew up the houses of parliament on 5th November 1605 along with the members and Charles 1) had gone missing.
Queen Victoria herself had organised the celebration and it would have been extremely embarrassed to have to cancel with all the aristocrats and members of the royal family and their children expecting a spectacular affair.
Needless to say Holmes solves the mystery, returns the fireworks and guy to the Queen and the event is a great success. The Queen summons Young Sherlock Holmes and John Watson to express her great gratitude to them.
