Sinossi

Following years of abuse then being left alone after my mother left my dad and then my dad moving away I decided to write poems to fill the emptiness and to write my feelings down even though I began writing a few poems when I was fifteen.Just like most young wishful girls I knew I had a talent for writing poems. I was informed by a school teacher that I should try to get my poems published. Later I found that I got bored with it then friends, school, work, dances got in the way. I put my poems on hold for a long time. Then I had children and that started me to want to write again. But I still was not all that serious about it. Then after quite a few years I surrendered my life to Jesus even though I was saved when I was twelve. It was at this time that the poems came flowing; the Lord gave me these words.I have since had poems published in Our Twentieth Century’s Greatest Poems…Creation is, Famous Poets of the Heartland...The Lord is My Shepherd, International Who’s Who in Poetry…The Forest, Stars in Our Hearts…We’re Walking Among Angels, Best Poets and Poems of 2012…Flame of Love. I have also published my first book Remembering When in 2012 as well.I hope this poem collection will be blessings to you they will bring you comfort and cheer. Let them fill your heart with hope and gladness.Use them when you are reading your Bible to help give you hope along the way. They are for every occasion and events from birthdays to Christmas. From weddings to funerals or whatever the occasion may be. I pray they will carry you through your days whatever they may be.

It used to be a magnificent opera house, its stage graced by the leading sopranos and tenors of the age. Now the only divas at the Grand Old Opera House Hotel are the ones checking-in, there are fist fights in the lobby, and there's scarcely a romantic hero to be found.
When shy Aaron joins the hotel's inharmonious team, he's faced with emotionally volatile guests, apathetic staff and management that doesn't have a clue. Not to mention the rumour of singing ghosts haunting the corridors.
But through all the madness, one voice stands out, capturing his ears and his heart – and Aaron must go into battle with the hotel's magical chaos to find out the truth.
An uplifting ensemble comedy, Isobel McArthur's The Grand Old Opera House Hotel is a story of art bringing us together in hopeless circumstances, to the tune of some of the most popular opera songs ever written. It premiered at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, during the Festival in August 2023, with Dundee Rep Theatre, directed by Gareth Nicholls. It was the recipient of an Edinburgh Fringe First Award.

    Gather it from memory.

    Let it touch the earth.
In Touch the Earth, Drew Jackson continues the project he began in God Speaks Through Wombs, reflecting on the Gospel of Luke through poetry. Touch the Earth picks up in chapter nine and continues through the end of Luke's Gospel. Part protest poetry, part biblical commentary, Jackson presents the gospel story in all its liberative power. Here the gospel is the "fresh words / that speak of / things impossible."
From the feeding of the multitude ("The best hosts always provide / take home containers") to the resurrection of Jesus ("the belly of mother Earth / is, indeed, a womb . . . the humus of life is where we become fully human"), this collection helps us hear the hum of deliverance—against all hope—that's been in the gospel all along.

'This is the story of how we met, fell in love, and fucked it up. But it's not just our story. It's his, and his and theirs. Maybe it's yours…'
Manchester, 2017. During a hot and sweaty queer warehouse party, two damaged hearts collide. He is HIV+ and drowning in shame. They are one microaggression away from a full-on meltdown. Together, they form a bond so tight, they might just survive it all. But sometimes survival means knowing when to leave.
Pulling back the glittery curtain of pride to reveal the devastating impact of generational HIV stigma, racism, homophobia and repressive gender norms, Nathaniel J Hall's Toxic is a powerful, passionate play celebrating survival and the resilience of the queer spirit.
Inspired by true events, it was first performed at HOME, Manchester, in 2023, before touring the UK in 2025, directed by Scott Le Crass, and performed by the playwright alongside Josh-Susan Enright.

Arthur Miller's deeply moving drama reunites two long estranged middle-aged brothers. Nostalgia and recrimination erupt as they sell off an attic full of furniture, their last link to a family and a world that no longer exist. This 1968 classic is a wrenching saga of plaintive gestures and missed opportunities. A BBC Co-production.

An L.A. Theatre Works full-cast performance featuring Richard Dreyfuss, Amy Irving and Harris Yulin.

An Australian/English historical drama set in the unforgiving landscape of the Australian outback during the 1950s, the story follows the life of Katherine, an English child migrant who is consigned to an austere life on an isolated property beyond Broken Hill. There is little love in Katherine's life until Aboriginal station hands offer their friendship, but love comes at a deadly price.
Part two brings listeners to the modern-day English Lake District before taking us back to Australia for the story's climax. Inspired by the true experiences of family and friends closest to the author, Black Bones, Red Earth is a story of hope, love, sacrifice and resilience.
Beautifully read by Australian actress, Sandy Gore, star of television, film and stage, this heart wrenching tale is the sometimes harrowing, yet ultimately uplifting story of a child's search for love, and a woman's test of faith. Katherine's journey is an emotional roller-coaster with a deeply satisfying ending.
