Who is this hypnosis for:- If you have difficulty falling asleep- or you wake up frequently over the night- or your sleep is simply not restful enough- or you can sleep only with medication and would like a more natural solution… this hypnosis will help. This hypnosis is an easy, gentle way to prepare for falling asleep. At the same time, it will help you experience a deep, restful, regenerating sleep. How it works:So many of us are affected these days by sleeping troubles.Unfortunately, this is bound to be: our world is fast, overloaded with information and constantly stimulated by screens. Thus, our brains are overly activated and less acquainted with the state of non-activity.This "monkey mind" is what keeps us away from a good sleep. Over the night, our brains keep on being busy solving problems. Moreover, our bodies cannot have a good, regenerative rest either – did you notice how an agitated mind matches and agitated body?Fortunately, methods based on hypnosis are very effective. While in themselves, they are very relaxing (4 time stronger than sleep), when specific suggestions for taking a break from thoughts and slipping into a profound, regenerative sleep are added, our mind and body finally gets the break it needs. This is what this 28 min hypnosis does.Play it after you have already laid down in bed and found a comfortable position so that you can easily fall asleep during it or after it ends.My recommendation is to use it for 3 days in a row and feel if it works for you. If it does, continue. The more you do it, the easier it will become for you to relax and fall asleep.Disclaimer:The products sold here do not replace medical or psychological therapy. Please take your time when listening to the audio downloads and stop doing anything else that might distract you, e.g., don't use them while working or driving a car.ENJOY!Yours Dr. Nidal MoughrabiLife-Coach, MDHypnotherapy, NLP and Meditation Training

The massively popular 1990 novel Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton and its subsequent movie adaptations led to a huge resurgence in interest in dinosaurs and the prehistoric world. That interest continues to the present day, even though most of the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park weren’t actually from the Jurassic period. Triceratops, Velociraptor, Tyrannosaurus Rex and the huge sauropods such as Brachiosaurus that feature in the book and movies all actually belong to the Late Cretaceous period, more than 40 million years after the end of the Jurassic. Regardless, certain kinds of dinosaurs remain instantly recognizable, and among them, the “king” is undoubtedly the Tyrannosaurus.
The first discovery of a Tyrannosaurus was made in 1902 and the largest carnivorous dinosaur ever found at the time quickly gripped the popular imagination. Even its name was dramatic - Tyrannosaurus Rex means “King of the Tyrant Lizards.” The T-Rex as it quickly became known didn’t appear until the last age of the Late Cretaceous period, the Maastrichtian, but when it did, it was the biggest and most terrifying of all the theropod predators. The T-Rex was around 13 feet tall at the hips (its tallest point since it isn’t believe to have stood upright), it was over 35 feet long, and it weighed about nine metric tons. Like most therapods, it had very powerful hind legs and much smaller fore legs, so the front legs look almost comically small. This dinosaur also had a large and powerful tail to counterbalance its very large head (some T-Rex skulls are nearly five feet long). Within the skull was a massive jaw lined with teeth up to a foot long. A reconstructive study has estimated that a T-Rex jaw was capable of exerting a pressure of over 55,000 Newtons; the equivalent of almost six tons of pressure. It was fast too, possibly capable of moving at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour.

“A marvelously entertaining, historical romp through the unexpected connections between mathematics and mysticism” (Paul Hoffman, Discover).

From the mysterious cult of Pythagoras to the awesome mechanics of Stonehenge to digitally generated “gargoyles” and fractals, mathematics has always been a powerful, even divine force in the world. In a lively, intelligent synthesis of math, mysticism, and science fiction, Clifford Pickover explains the eternal magic of numbers. Taking a uniquely humorous approach, he appoints readers “Chief Historian” of an intergalactic museum and sends them, along with a quirky cast of characters, hurtling through the ages to explore how individuals used numbers for such purposes as predicting the end of the world, finding love, and winning wars.

    Bathsheba's Breast - Women...

An absorbing and unsettling history of breast cancer told through the stories of women who have confronted it from ancient times to the present.

A Los Angeles Times Best Book of the Year

In 1967, an Italian surgeon touring Amsterdam’s Rijks museum stopped in front of Rembrandt’s Bathsheba at Her Bath and noticed an asymmetry to Bathsheba’s left breast; it seemed distended, swollen near the armpit, discolored, and marked with a distinctive pitting. The physician learned that Rembrandt’s model, Hendrickje Stoffels, later died after a long illness. He conjectured that the cause of her death was almost certainly breast cancer.

In Bathsheba’s Breast, James S. Olson traces the history of breast cancer through women’s experiences of the disease across epochs and continents. The stories range from the sixth-century Byzantine empress Theodora, who chose to die rather than lose her breast to Dr. Jerri Nielson, who was evacuated from the South Pole in 1999 after performing a biopsy on her own breast and self-administering chemotherapy.

Olson explores every facet of the disease: medicine’s evolving understanding of its pathology and treatment options; its cultural significance; the political and economic logic that has dictated the terms of a war on a “woman’s disease”; and the rise of patient activism.

“An invaluable aid to those breast cancer survivors with an interest in taking the long view of their illness.” —Nick Owchar Los Angeles Times
