Sinossi

Alister Redgrave knows he's a dork. He dresses in ill-fitting suits and trips over imaginary obstacles constantly; then there's his Star Trek underwear. Still, he hopes to find the love of his life one day. And when he meets Jaiden Greyson, the new Assistant CFO in the Finance department, Alister knows he's found his dream guy. Except, Alister makes a fool of himself repeatedly in front of Jaiden and decides he doesn't have a chance in hell.
Jaiden Greyson doesn't know what to make of Alister when he meets him. A more klutzy guy had never existed. But despite all that, there's something about the man that draws him in, and he's determined to find out what it is, no matter the antics of a jealous coworker intent on ruining everything.
Jaiden has Alister in his sights, and Alister won't know what hit him, in the best sense.

Summer is the start of the busy season for Neptune's Pool Service, owned by Pete Crawford. A new client, Corey Brennerman, captures Pete's interest, if only because he seems attached to his cell phone 24/7. Corey is a serious workaholic. Pete remembers when he used to be like that, and he wishes he could do something about it.
Pete comes to Corey's aid in a grocery store parking lot one evening and helps him catch the punk who tries to steal his cell phone. As a result, their relationship moves from that of client/hired help to cautious friends. When a Fourth of July party leads to a tryst, Pete is running scared because he thinks Corey is too stressed and vulnerable to handle anything serious right now. But Corey confronts him, and they work things out -- in the pool, naturally.
A death in the family brings them even closer together. Can Corey make some positive changes in his life? Could the relationship they've begun to build become something that might last forever?

Homography: mapping multiple perspectives of a single subject; words with the same form but different meanings (see gay, story); homosexual history approached through autobiography; projective transformation (from personal to political plane). Evans uses his own relationships—sexual and familial, chosen and biological—to explore queer heritage. In this collection you'll happen upon ancestors from antiquity to present day including Narcissus and Derek Jarman, as well as iconic venues like the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. There is imagery drawn from the natural world, and from to the underworlds of fetish and clubbing—a diversity echoed in forms concrete and classical. There is also shame, and there is trauma, but always leavened by fierce humour and hope for our future. This bold and beautiful third collection from Polari Prize longlisted poet Nathan Evans features poems published by Royal Society of Literature, Muswell Press, Broken Sleep and Fourteen Poems. It is edited by TS Eliot Prize winner Joelle Taylor and published for LGBTQIA+ History Month 2026.
