They say you never forget your first. Who's they, you ask? Good question. I wish I had the answer because I've tried everything to get Abe Manning off my mind. Now he's here, in Coral Pointe Inlet, staying in the inn that I co-own with my four best friends. Okay, I may have had something to do with that, but these thoughts are driving me crazy. I need to know what happened all those years ago, because if the saying is true, how was it so easy for Abe to forget about me?

A free trip to Coral Pointe Inlet, the shore town that is the very definition of paradise, is exactly what I need. The best part being there's no chance of running into two lying liars who lie. For the first time in a long time, I'm able to take a much-needed deep breath. That is, until my past shows up on the beach with a sexy smile and an unexpected confession. It was hard enough forgetting him the first time, and now here he is again—a temptation I'd never been able to deny. I have to admit, though, it's incredible to know I still have the ability to fluster Ford.

Sherwood Anderson was born on 13th September 1876 in Camden, Ohio.

When his father’s business failed the family was forced to move on a regular basis before finally settling in Clyde, Ohio.

Anderson, one of 7 children, left school at 14 to take a number of jobs to help with the family finances. These were difficult years.

He moved to Chicago in search of opportunities before joining the Army for the US-Spanish War of 1898. He then entered Wittenberg Academy in Springfield, Ohio to complete his education before moving back to Chicago to take up a writing job.

In 1904 he married Cornelia Lane, her family had resources and Anderson was keen, with this family backing, to run a business.

The early years of their marriage produced 3 children but a nervous breakdown in 1907 and another in 1912, despite his success as a business entrepreneur, resulted in him abandoning his family and deciding that a literary career would be best for him.

A move back to Chicago resulted in a job in advertising, a divorce from Cornelia and marriage to Tennessee Mitchell.

That same year his first book ‘Windy McPherson’s Son’ was released and in 1919, his most famous book, ‘Winesburg, Ohio’, a collection of short stories about life in an Ohio town was released.

Anderson continued to write short stories, novels and non-fiction but his only true bestseller came with ‘Dark Laughter’. His influence on writers that followed, from Faulkner to Hemingway, was immense. He also married a further two times.

I've been way too busy to have a life outside of work, which means I've been pretty hard up. That's why, when the hotel puts me and a stranger in a room with one bed by mistake, I end up doing something stupid. The moment our bare skin meets, I know he's my mate, and I can't stop myself.
But he's a man, a human, and that makes him completely off-limits. That's why I had to leave without a word. Werewolves and humans don't mix. I can never see him again. So imagine my surprise when he shows up at my office a month later.
    Tanner
It was just supposed to be a business conference, not a one-night stand with a stranger. But now I have to work with him, and I can't turn down this job. I want to hate him for sneaking out, but I can't. How can I resist those deep blue eyes, the ginger beard I love, and all those... muscles...
We shouldn't be doing this. He's straight, and I'm tired of having my heart broken. This isn't a hallmark movie, and it won't work. But I can't resist the strange bond between us as he turns my world upside down.
Maybe we can make it work.
WARNING: This spicy wolf shifter romance contains jaw-dropping twists, sizzling love scenes, bi awakening, there's only one bed, gay for you, and a happily ever after that will leave you speechless. It should only be read by those who like their 'straight' werewolves hot and their boyfriends even hotter.
