The prime suspect is farmer and amateur baker Daisy Miller, whose family recipe was used in the fatal dessert. With her farm on the line and the community turning against her, Daisy must work with her border collie, Biscuit, and a skeptical agricultural inspector to uncover the truth. She soon discovers the developer had more enemies than there are seeds in a sunflower, from struggling farmers facing foreclosure to hidden family connections and long-buried secrets about the town's founding.
