Simón Bolívar, born Simón José Antonio de la Santísima Trinidad Bolívar, was a prominent Venezuelan military and political leader who played a pivotal role in the liberation of several South American countries from Spanish colonial rule. Bolívar's full name, a reflection of the Spanish naming tradition, encompassed multiple middle names, highlighting his family's social status. His leadership and vision helped Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Bolivia secure their independence from the Spanish Empire during the early 19th century.
Bolívar was born into a wealthy, aristocratic family in Caracas, Venezuela. As was customary for the sons of affluent families at the time, he was sent abroad to receive his education. Initially, he traveled to Spain and later to France, where he encountered Enlightenment ideals that deeply influenced his political and philosophical beliefs. These ideas, particularly the notions of liberty and self-determination, fueled his desire to rid Latin America of Spanish control. Bolívar’s campaign for independence began in earnest in 1808, seizing the opportunity presented by the political instability in Spain caused by the Napoleonic Wars. This chaos allowed Bolívar and other revolutionaries to push forward their independence efforts.

Paper Paradise: Do what you want to do is a roller coaster ride through the sex, drugs and rock and roll of the ’60s and ’70s to the high-flying business world of the ’80s and into the ’90s and beyond—with someone who lives it all right up to today.
It is a book about ambition, hunger, desperation, success and the fruits thereof. Oh yes, it is also about failure and fighting back.
Charting the extraordinary life and times of Glenn Wheatley, from working class boy to rock star of the 1960s and 1970s as a member of one of Australia’s most successful early bands, the Masters Apprentices, now immortalised in the ARIA Hall of Fame. In their heyday, the Masters drew bigger crowds than the Beatles in Australia.
In the 1980s he soared from rock star to star manager of the Little River Band and Whispering Jack, John Farnham. He also pioneered the FM Radio industry with the first FM radio station to go to air in Australia, EON FM in Melbourne. He then went on to build the foundation of what is now the Triple M radio network.
It is a narrative littered with casualties and is an actual account of a self-protective society that has its own Kings and Queens, its own iconography, its own language.
After a meteoric rise in the fast lane, and an equally spectacular fall, he is back on top and determined to stay there. Glenn is the ultimate rock and roll survivor.

From Fox News medical contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier, comes an inspiring collection of powerful first-person stories celebrating motherhood, from Fox News personalities and extraordinary moms around America.
Unmatched and unwavering, mothers are the embodiment of selfless, pure, and unconditional love. But so often, the sacrifices and triumphs of motherhood go unrecognized. Now, in Love, Mom, Fox News medical contributor and mom of three, Dr. Nicole Saphier, shines a light on the power of a mother’s love, with inspiring first-person stories from moms in the Fox News family.
For Dr. Saphier—who was just a teenager when she gave birth to her first son—motherhood was a transformative responsibility. Her story, like so many moms featured in this book, is an inspiration for what it means to be there for your child, no matter where you are in life. Alongside Dr. Saphier’s account are deeply personal contributions from FOX News anchors and personalities, such as: Ainsley Earhardt, on the precious bond between mother and daughter, the loss of her own mom, and the power of her faith. Rachel Campos-Duffy, on raising nine children, unexpected blessings, and dedicating her life to advocating for education and awareness about children with Down Syndrome. Kayleigh McEnany, on embracing motherhood despite health challenges, and the delicate balance between career aspirations and the profound gift of raising children.  Janice Dean, on navigating the heartbreak of miscarriage, living with an autoimmune disease, and finding joy in raising boys. Martha MacCallum, on the challenges of juggling career and family, the myth of perfection, and the importance of being kind to yourself.  Sandra Smith, on how motherhood truly takes a village, and the value of a strong support system as a working mom. Carley Shimkus, on being a new mom, and balancing new responsibilities with grace and determination.
In Love, Mom, these mothers share their powerful stories, greatest challenges, and insightful reflections about young motherhood, miscarriage, ovarian cancer, mixed race children, postpartum depression, domestic violence, adoption, blended families, and more. Ultimately, Love, Mom is a celebration of motherhood and reminds us that a mother’s strength and love is an extraordinary gift.

Ultrarunner Jen Scotney has achieved podium finishes in some of the UK's toughest races and now has her sights firmly set on the Pennine Way. In Running Through the Dark, Jen talks about her ambitions, not just to run the 268-mile Pennine Way but to take the record as the fastest woman to do so. But that didn't happen. Nothing went according to plan. The Jen the world knew was a successful lawyer and running coach – all photoshoots and finish-line smiles – but the truth was much darker. The real Jen Scotney, the one she hid from everybody, suffered with chronic fatigue, debilitating injuries, tragedy, grief and at times had a will so beaten down by setbacks that there just didn't seem any point in going on.
But she did go on. Running Through the Dark is Jen's account of her ultra-journey. Playing out on the moors of the Pennines, the fells of the Lake District and the mountains of Wales and Scotland, this is much more than a running book, it is a story about resilience, about never giving up, and about battling through the night and always believing that there will be a new dawn.
