Sinossi

Spiritual Hygiene Study Guide is an invitation to tend to the inner life with the same care, consistency, and reverence we give to the body. In a world marked by constant noise, emotional overload, and spiritual exhaustion, this book offers a grounded, compassionate path back to clarity, balance, and sacred alignment.Rather than presenting spirituality as a one-time breakthrough or abstract ideal, this study guide reframes it as daily maintenance. Just as physical hygiene keeps the body healthy, spiritual hygiene restores the mind, heart, and soul through intentional awareness, emotional cleansing, boundaries, rest, and inner listening. Drawing from lived experience and gentle spiritual wisdom, the book guides readers through the often-overlooked work of caring for what we carry within.Through thoughtfully structured chapters, reflective prompts, journaling exercises, and practical application steps, readers are invited into an interactive journey of self-discovery and healing. Topics include releasing emotional clutter, recognizing trauma without re-traumatization, practicing sacred boundaries, honoring grief, restoring energetic balance, reconnecting with divine purpose, and cultivating compassion for the self. Each chapter is designed not just to inform, but to engage—encouraging readers to pause, reflect, and integrate the teachings into real life. This is not a book about fixing yourself. It is a book about remembering yourself. It meets readers where they are, without judgment or urgency, and offers tools that are adaptable, sustainable, and deeply human. Whether used individually or in group study, Spiritual Hygiene Study Guide supports those seeking emotional clarity, spiritual grounding, and a more intentional way of living. For anyone feeling depleted, disconnected, or overwhelmed by the pace of modern life, this book provides a steady companion—one that reminds you that inner care is not selfish, rest is not weakness, and alignment is not something you achieve once, but something you return to again and again.

This is the second book by Pastor Omar Fisher as he details the far-reaching consequences of prison on our society. This writing investigates the lives of those recently released from prison and the corresponding experiences of Pastor Omar as he visited and interacted with those who were incarcerated and their families and their communities. This book is a direct follow-up to Pastor Omar's first book, Confrontations, which detailed how by the grace of God he was able to start an international prison ministry having never been incarcerated and the confrontations he experienced along the way. In this current book, Pastor Omar has been doing prison ministry for several years and has seen how it continues to impact the lives of individuals and those connected to them long after they are released from prison. Prison has truly affected our society like nothing else and Pastor Omar pulls back the veil and gives us a glimpse into its consequences and uses that to shed light on some even greater consequences humanity has experienced on a whole.
Pastor Omar Fisher started doing prison ministry in 2003 and authored his first book, Confrontations, in 2008 which detailed how he started his prison ministry and the different challenges he faced along the way. He continued to do prison ministry regularly until 2021 when he began pastoring Geiger Memorial Brethren Church in Philadelphia, PA. He still stays in touch with numerous inmates and visits prisons on occasion to preach the Word of God and also encourages and equips pastors and laymen and laywomen to enter into the prisons and continue to be blessings to a forgotten section of our society.

*****Audiobook format of The New Fight for Life - ECPA's 2024 Faith and Culture Award Nominee***** The battle over the constitutionality of Roe v. Wade may be over, but now a bigger fight lies ahead. For over half a century, pro-life advocates have fought to protect the sanctity of human life. Now that the decision the pro-life community has been waiting and praying for has finally become a reality, a question remains: Now what? How do we continue to stand for life for everyone who bears the image of God―from womb to tomb? And if abortion disproportionately impacts the poor and the marginalized, specifically Black Americans, why should we seize this new opportunity to make right what has gone terribly wrong? Benjamin Watson, author of Under Our Skin and a former NFL player who now serves as VP of strategic relationships with Human Coalition, a pro-life organization based in Dallas, wants to galvanize the church and the pro-life movement in this new era. In The New Fight for Life, Watson    leads us into a new understanding of pro-life advocacy, shows how we can move past political debate and culture wars, and envisions a new path forward that promotes life by committing to human flourishing and holistic justice. We can create a culture where abortion is both unthinkable and unnecessary. How? By relentlessly pursuing a more just world―for everyone.

What could be more essential than the discovery and analysis of self, the composite of that consciousness which constitutes one's whole being? This book of sound logic presents revealingly and in entirety the four phases of human living: The Mysteries, The Technique, The Pitfalls, and Attainment.
Do you not, at times, entertain the question as to whether you are living your life to your best advantage? You may find an answer in some of the 23 chapters, presented under headings such as: Causality and Karma, The Lost Word, Transition—The Law of Change, Love and Desire, Nature of Dreams, Prediction, Mastership and Perfection. Consider "Love and Desire."
In much of ancient and modern literature, as well as in the many and various preachments of the present-day world, LOVE is proclaimed as the solution to all human conflict. Do you understand truly the meaning of absolute love? Do you know that there are various loves and that some of the so-called loves are dangerous drives?
Written authoritatively by Ralph M. Lewis, former Imperator of the Rosicrucian Order (AMORC), this book is of particular value as a text for teachers and students of metaphysics, including philosophy and psychology.

Do you, like so many of us, see anxiety as an incentive to perform? Or a proof of how much you care? Or is anxiety simply an unwelcome shadow over your days, bringing with it clenched teeth and an upset stomach?

He constructs a posture from which we can rest more deeply, live more fully, and lead better. Fixing our minds on grace and eternity, we can begin to see the benefit of loosening our grip and operating from a sure foundation. Join Alan in releasing anxiety and taking up authentic love in A Non-Anxious Life.
