Summary

A minstrel narrates the burial in a grove of a young woman whose body protrudes an unburied hand, as a sign of her fiancé's failure to make her his wife. Upon hearing this story, a count went to the minstrel to ask him where that story was told. Upon learning from the troubadour that she was originally from Gómara, in the province of Soria, the nobleman became livid, a sign that the minstrel interpreted as meaning that the story told affected him personally. Indeed, according to the testimony collected by the narrator among the residents of the town, the count returned to his land and, with special permission from the pope, a priest married the couple, after which the hand disappeared forever under the earth

"The third and final audiobook in the Red Rising: Sons Of Ares series is here! The last two entries into the Sons of Ares had Fitchner on his heels. In the first, he was driven by love and desperation to save his wife Brynn before her execution at the hands of the Board of Quality Control. Then, in book two, Fitchner went head to head with both of his early allies — Arturius and Quicksilver. His wrath left Arturius dead and set back Quicksilver’s dream of expanding exploration and human habitation to other stars. In Forbidden Song, Ares may not always be in control. But he has a plan — and it’s a doozy. FORBIDDEN SONG is one part Ocean’s 11, one part Les Miserable, and it sets the fuse for the Rising that Darrow will inherit.Adapted from the graphic novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music. Also available as a graphic novel from Dynamite Comics.Peformed by Richard Rohan, Holly Adams, Todd Scofield, Andy Brownstein, Ian Russell, Peter Stanley, David Jourdan, Lise Bruneau, Nick DePinto, Stephanie Németh-Parker, Jenna Sharpe, Michael Glenn, Peter Holdway, Nanette Savard, Danny Gavigan, Carolyn Kashner, Jessica Lauren Ball, Christopher Williams, Ian Putnam, Hannah Curtis, Matthew Schleigh, Christopher Davenport, Zeke Alton and Alyssa Keegan."
