Sinossi

Fornasarig’s entire work seems to be interpenetrated by the hope of a singular perception of “new humanism” which is the central nucleus. The possible actualization would appear in the contemporary man, when he finds himself carrier of a new mind, where daily conscience and the subconscious meet through the analysis of dreams. A new mind, in which the reality in front of him actualizes, for interaction; a reality that he helps build. The poetic style elevates itself with contents, form, and style. Therefore, in a greedy time such as ours, that grants very little to reading and even less to poetry, the commitment of a poet like Giuseppe Fornasarig contributes on many levels to “re-define” the role of the intellectual. Giorgio Barberi Squarotti understood it very well, and in some letters sent to the author, he stated: «Dear Fornasarig  I’m reading with true interest and participation. Your poetry is fundamentally conceptual, between memory, religiousness, moral research, and myth. It’s a very intense discourse, a great one, that includes the reader, and brightens him with truth and grace». And again: «Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the new collection of poems, which I read with great benefit and admiration. I love in particular, the verses of religious vision, of myths old and new, of critical contemplations of the truth of the art».

Martin longs to be a musician. But a piano wouldn't fit in his mobile home, even if his father would let him have one. Martin's father wants him to play baseball and forget about all that "sissy" music stuff. If it weren't for the harmonica he plays when he's out of the house, and the music he creates in his head when his father is yelling at him, Martin would have no music at all. Then he sees a violin for sale for $50 in a pawn shop window, and he can think of nothing else. There's just one problem: he only has $12.78. Will one of his friends in the Paradise Trailer Park help him solve his dilemma, or will Martin's love of music go forever unrequited? In this engaging audiobook, filled with humor, pathos, and a colorful cast of offbeat characters, Barbara O'Connor shows that friendship and dreams can accomplish miracles-even in Paradise. Jeff Woodman's lively narration and wonderful Southern accents create a diverse and believable cast of characters.

In The Lightlings, Dr. R.C. Sproul weaves an allegorical tale that captures the essence of the biblical story of redemption in a manner that will fascinate and delight children. A race of tiny beings known as lightlings are a picture of humanity as they pass through all the stages of the biblical drama – creation, fall, and redemption. In the end, children will understand why some people fear light more than darkness, but why they need never fear darkness again. The Lightlings is an excellent introduction to the key themes of Scripture. Richly detailed illustrations by Justin Gerard will hold children’s interest, and discussion questions with Scripture references in the back will help parents guide children into the deeper meaning of the story.
