Sinossi

A forged letter.

A ghostly ship.

A forbidden love caught between empires.

Plunge into the Golden Age of Piracy (1690-1720), where the treacherous waters of the Cape of Good Hope are just the beginning of a worldwide adventure.

In the glittering yet treacherous courts of post-coronation France, opulent masquerades hide ruthless plots and dangerous secrets. Count De Mentz, the ambitious Minister of the Crown, schemes to control the lucrative spice trade, by plunging France into a bloody war with Holland. His weapon is deception. a Forged letter framing the legendary Dutch sea captain, Oloff van Wagenaar, as a pirate and a traitor.

Branded an outlaw, Oloff must choose between loyalty to his homeland and his love for the French noblewoman Rynette du Bois. With betrayal closing in from every side, he joins forces with a daring prince and his loyal crew of sea dogs to expose the conspiracy before two nations are torn apart. But when whispers spread of a phantom ship prowling the coast, the very vessel Oloff was believed to have died on, the line between myth and treachery blurs. Is it a supernatural omen of doom, or a sinister plot hiding an even darker truth?

With the fate of kingdoms and the heart of the woman he loves at stake, Oloff must confront a ruthless enemy in a deadly game of power, passion, and betrayal. The storm is rising, and the Ghost Ship of Biscay may claim him once and for all. Perfect for fans of swashbuckling pirate adventures, epic historical romance, and high-seas intrigue.

Children of the Sun is the first installment of its self-titled trilogy. This recording is the first portion of the book, and more episodic installments will follow in the near future.
In a reimagined precolonial Africa, a powerful king's nephew comes home to find his nation on the brink of war. Unsure of his own next move, he joins his royal warrior cousins on their westward march to stop an invasion. Though he has no plans to fight, other problems find him on the road, pushing him toward an instability of his own. Back in the kingdom, a more distant relative is called upon to keep the peace in a land missing most of its strength. As the overt invasion looms above, she leads the king's defense against an enemy they cannot see, gathering strength right there at home.
All the while, old wounds inside the family and out are brought to the surface, threatening to unravel all the players involved. The demons of the past converge with the troubles of the present, giving way to an uncertain future for them all.

Short stories have always been a sort of instant access into an author’s brain, their soul and heart. A few pages can lift our lives into locations, people and experiences with a sweep of landscape, narration, feelings and emotions that is difficult to achieve elsewhere.

In this series we try to offer up tried and trusted ‘Top Tens’ across many different themes and authors. But any anthology will immediately throw up the questions – Why that story? Why that author?

The theme itself will form the boundaries for our stories which range from well-known classics, newly told, to stories that modern times have overlooked but perfectly exemplify the theme. Throughout the volume our authors whether of instant recognition or new to you are all leviathans of literature.

Some you may disagree with but they will get you thinking; about our choices and about those you would have made. If this volume takes you on a path to discover more of these miniature masterpieces then we have all gained something.

In this small corner of the United States there is to be found a part of America that is both recognizable and yet distinct and of itself. Whilst others pushed Westward these authors found much amongst their experiences that detailed and charted the world around them. These are their stories.

    The Pendle Witches England 1600's
Book 6 of 7 Anne Redferne
The books are fictionally based on the true names and part facts of seven of the accused witches involved being sentenced to death mostly, although innocent, and is as follows:
Anne Redferne, the gentle daughter of notorious witch Chattox, lived a life overshadowed by her mother's dark reputation in Pendle Forest. A skilled herb gatherer devoted to raising her young daughter Marie, Anne's quiet existence shattered when a neighbor accused her of cursing his crops. Though innocent, Anne was condemned by her mother's damning witchcraft confession and the testimony of child witness Jennet Device. In Lancaster Castle's dungeon, she received a vision: a golden wheat field promising peace beyond suffering. On August 20, 1612, Anne walked silently to the gallows, her final thoughts of the daughter she would never see again. Unlike her defiant mother or wealthy co-accused Alice Nutter, Anne met death with bowed head - a poignant symbol of ordinary lives destroyed by witch hysteria. Her story, often overlooked in the Pendle trials, reveals how fear could transform quiet poverty into "evidence" of witchcraft.
This is the sixth book in a series of seven audiobooks and I do hope you enjoy ,(might not be the appropriate word, this instalment, and it's only $3 dollars.
the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes plus, called Haunting Elegy, uses flute and harp to set the scene of witches living life as they could. The closing music ends in a sad way, called Melancholy same instrumental at nearly 3 minutes as the fate that befalls these innocent people awaits them.!
The story itself runs to about 25 minutes, and and is narrated in my own voice.
Please let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come!.
