Sinossi

In "The Life of Trust," George Müller presents an intricate narrative woven from his own experiences as a devoted Christian and orphanage founder. The book intricately explores the principles of faith and divine providence, articulating Müller's deep belief in living a life of uninterrupted trust in God. Written in a contemplative style, Müller employs vivid storytelling and biblical references to illustrate his life-affirming message, resonating with the theological discourse of 19th-century evangelicalism. The text serves not only as a spiritual memoir but also as a guide, encouraging readers to embrace faith as a foundational element in their own lives. George Müller was a German-born Christian missionary and philanthropist, renowned for his work in establishing orphanages in England that provided shelter and education for thousands of children. His radical approach to fundraising—relying solely on prayer and faith rather than soliciting donations—was both revolutionary and inspirational, driving him to document these experiences in an attempt to illuminate the power of faith in everyday life. Müller's personal journey of reliance on God provides a rich backdrop for the narratives and lessons offered in this text. I highly recommend "The Life of Trust" to anyone seeking a profound understanding of faith in action. This compelling work not only bears witness to Müller's spiritual journey but also invites readers to reflect on their relationship with providence. It is an essential read for those interested in the intersection of faith, spirituality, and social justice.

Encountering God in the Holy Land

Over the centuries, God has chosen to reveal himself to humankind in real, physical locations that still exist. Even visions--such as Jacob's ladder and John's Apocalypse--came to people in a particular place. Place is inextricably woven into the Bible's story, and it's one of the most meaningful ways in which we can encounter God today.

The Holy Land Devotional features the sites that Christian pilgrims most often visit, allowing you to walk in the footsteps of people like Abraham, Joshua, Gideon, Ruth, David, Martha, Peter, and, of course, Jesus. This devotional includes:

    ● beautiful full-color photos
    ● Scripture linked to Holy Land locations
    ● reflection questions
    ● prayers
    ● life-changing insights from Holy Land travelers

Whether you've been to the Holy Land, are planning a trip, or just want to know more about the land where Jesus walked, this devotional invites you to grow closer to God as you hear him speaking in and through the Holy Land.

God Won't Leave You There is a powerful reminder that God has a plan for your life, even when things are tough and seem hopeless. Drawing from the story of Joseph, rediscover how God can lift you from your pit to fulfill a glorious purpose, convert your struggles into strength, and lead you through perceived detours the destiny He planned all along.
Could it be that God has an ultimate purpose for our trials and hardships? Could it be that we, like Joseph, are in the process of becoming a reflection of Jesus? God Won't Leave You There is an inspiring and moving guide for anyone navigating life's deepest struggles. Drawing profound lessons from the biblical story of Joseph, Anne Graham Lotz and Rachel-Ruth Lotz Wright weave together Scripture, personal testimonies of hardship, and the unwavering hope found in God's promises.
Anne's life was suddenly changed by the tragic death of her husband of forty-nine years, then followed three years later by a totally unexpected cancer diagnosis. Rachel-Ruth's life was forever changed by two back-to-back rare SCAD heart-attacks. These events occurred when both Anne and Rachel-Ruth were faithfully serving their heavenly Father and seeking to make Him known through lives of service to Him. Through it all, they learned these valuable lessons about God:We can trust His placement. We can trust His promises. We can trust His path.We can trust His plan.

If you find yourself on a path of suffering that is made even more painful because you feel you've done nothing wrong and struggle with injustice, look in the shadows. Jesus has been there; He is there with you. He is not surprised or frightened as He grips your hand to lead you forward. No matter how desperate we find ourselves in this broken world, we can rest in the God who is trustworthy, knowing He won't leave us there!

From classics like Oedipus the King and Hamlet to modern plays like Robert Bolt’s A Man for All Seasons and Cormac McCarthy’s The Sunset Limited, Kreeft draws vivid lessons on the big questions we all ask ourselves. Career, love, security, family, country, social cause, reform, revolution, ideology, entertainment, self-reinvention, pursuit of the unknown. Have you ever noticed how these things shape the years and decades not only of our own lives but of humanity, right through old age, regardless of demographic, cultural, and professional differences? Have you ever noticed how all of us - the living, the ancestors and posterity - tread the exact same path across time, from generation to generation, century to century, without ever getting past that one common denominator: our own self-interest? And, what kind of society have we built around our self-interests? Not only are we not profoundly better people but we have also destroyed each other and the world.
Long with me, dear friend, to go beyond our self-centered psychological needs, including righteous ones as self-awareness and self-actualization, and to tap into what undoubtedly is the calling of our time: co-operation. At this critical juncture in human history, let us find out what it takes to bring about a level of co-operation unknown to humanity - in allfields including relationship, academia, diet, and environmental change - without which the world stands no chance.
This is not a spiritual self-help book but an invitation to free oneself from psychology, in all its traditional and modern forms, so that a new world is built right in the heart of our highly destructive society.

Every one of us has broken places inside. Places in our souls where the dust gathers or the wind whistles through. Every one of us needs restoration. Photographer and portrait artist Meshali Mitchell is no different. Though, in her case, she also had a farmhouse to restore to its former glory.

In this beautiful, full-color book, Meshali shares the inspiring story of how the Lord drew her out from behind the camera to embark on an unlikely home renovation in the midst of her own difficult journey to healing. As she handed God the keys to every room in her heart, Meshali learned lessons of patience, perseverance, and self-forgiveness that paralleled the physical restoration of the building around her. With lyrical prose steeped in Scripture and practical tools, she shows you how to apply those same discoveries to your own life as you ask God to heal, restore, and empower you to live abundantly.

    John 12:24 AMP
" I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others andyields a rich harvest."

The title of this book is meant to provoke the reader enough to examine what this book is about; the book chronicles some of the details of my faith walk and asks the question, "Who is God and what does God require of you?" Despite what we think, the antithesis of what you believe is true. There is an inherent desire in each of us to know the answer to this question. Until you face the climactic battle with who you are and what your purpose is the war within will continue with the ideas and thoughts expressed in this book. I wrote this book to provoke the thoughts and feelings of both believers and nonbelievers alike.Unintentionally, I set out on a path of personal disclosure and spiritual discovery as an introspective journey through my stages of faith from "a church-goer" to a becoming a "believer," and there is a difference that can fully be defined by the role that God has in one's life. Is he revered as a selfish, authoritative ruler who controls us with fear? Contrary to my experiential realities which I have experienced in my twenty-four-year walk in relationship versus religion. Experiencing great tragedies and triumphs and some extraordinary moments of revelation within my personal, professional, and spiritual walk. The primary theme which is prevalent throughout continues to be "the evidential presence of God's hand throughout the phases of my life which corrected me, directed me, connected me, and convicted me to submit to the crucifying of the mind of the flesh.
