Sinopse

For a brief moment, Callus thought that he was on his way to dispelling the curse, but he soon relapses into agony. This calls for an expert, so Gourley provides one—a young, shy girl called Sissy. Though Callus is dubious of her abilities at first, she quickly proves herself and aids the prince in learning healing magic.

Sissy also has an exceedingly rare tome about curses. How in the world did someone like her find something even the king has struggled in vain for? And does its secret knowledge on Taboo Beings contain the key to Callus dispelling his curse? If only things were so easy...

""Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", commonly known as "Alice in Wonderland", is an 1865 English children's novel written by Lewis Carroll, a mathematics don at Oxford University. The story follows a young girl named Alice who falls through a rabbit hole into a whimsical and fantastical world inhabited by anthropomorphic creatures. This novel is a prime example of the literary nonsense genre. In this captivating tale, Alice encounters peculiar characters such as the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and the Queen of Hearts. The narrative plays with logic, creating a delightful blend of absurdity and imagination. The artist John Tenniel provided 42 wood-engraved illustrations for the book, which have become iconic. "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" received positive reviews upon its release and is now one of the best-known works of Victorian literature. Its influence extends far beyond the pages of the book, shaping popular culture and inspiring adaptations for screen, radio, art, ballet, opera, musicals, theme parks, board games, and video games. Carroll's sequel, "Through the Looking-Glass", continues Alice's adventures in another whimsical realm. This timeless classic invites readers of all ages to explore a world where imagination knows no bounds."

By the time my papers had been located and the form filled and stamped by the jury and my luggage had been found and loaded on a three-wheeled cart, Joe's sun was setting. A guard who talked enough to reveal that his name was Smith guided me through the stifling streets. Already the dark nebula was visible and thunderclouds on the horizon added to the possibility that the sky was having convulsions.
Smith helped me pull the cart up a ramp to the planked walk of the outer wall. Guards stood at intervals and peeped through infrared goggles or checked strange instruments. Some laughed after we passed.
