Sinopse

Francis Bacon (1561-1626) was an English philosopher and statesman who served as Attorney General and Lord Chancellor of England under King James I. Stuart. A great scholar and an initiate of many ancient schools of wisdom, Bacon argued for the importance of Natural Philosophy, guided by scientific method, and his works remained influential throughout the Scientific Revolution.Francis Bacon's alleged connection to the Rosicrucians and Freemasonry has been widely discussed by authors and scholars in many books. Although there is no substantial evidence of Bacon's affiliation with Freemasonry, there are several elements that connect him with the Rosicrucian brotherhood and the highly secret Pythagorean Order. In Of the Colours of Good and Evil, the Francis Bacon’s essay which we propose to our readers today, written in 1597, the philosopher explores the nuanced ways in which goodness and evil manifest, arguing that they exist in degrees and can be understood through various "colors" or aspects. He suggests that while a thing may be generally considered good or bad, its individual components or "excellencies" can be evaluated differently. In essence, Of the Colours of Good and Evil is a philosophical exploration of the complex and often paradoxical nature of good and evil, suggesting that a complete understanding requires considering the nuances and various "colors" through which they are manifested.

"All desires are a disguise covering up one real desire: the desire to be free."In this conversation, the biggest misconceptions about enlightenment are exposed. OM talks about the distinction between awakening experiences and enlightenment, which are often lumped together. The essential focus is to distinguish whether something is a fleeting, short-lived experience, or an enduring, permanent state. He shares from his wealth of experience about his own awakening process. He names various pitfalls that spiritual seekers repeatedly fall into on their quest."All practice is directed into the future, but Enlightenment is NOW!"Why are there so few truly awakened people? It is true that the awareness of suffering has always been the great driving force behind the search for realisation. It is also true that since the beginning of the great religions there have only been a handful of enlightened people. The so-called New Age movement and its various forms of expression are also scrutinised. It shows that most people are simply interested in feeling good and having intense, mystical, angelic experiences of happiness. The catch is that these experiences are not permanent. And, unsurprisingly, they have nothing to do with true bliss.Light is also shed on the guru. Who actually is the guru? In what form can he manifest himself? And how do I recognise a true teacher from a false one?

The Zapotec civilization emerged in the valleys of Oaxaca, a region characterized by its fertile land, diverse ecosystems, and strategic position for trade and agriculture. Archaeological evidence suggests that the earliest Zapotec communities began forming around 1500 BCE, with small farming villages dotting the landscape. Over time, these settlements grew in complexity, giving rise to a society that would become one of Mesoamerica’s most influential civilizations.
Early Zapotec communities relied heavily on agriculture, cultivating maize, beans, squash, and chili peppers—staples that formed the foundation of their diet. The region’s rivers and seasonal rains provided a reliable water source, allowing for irrigation techniques that supported larger populations. As food production increased, villages expanded, and the need for organization led to the development of social hierarchies. Religious leaders, warriors, and skilled artisans began to hold distinct roles in society, paving the way for the emergence of political structures.
By the first millennium BCE, the Zapotecs had established themselves as a dominant force in the Oaxaca Valley. Unlike nomadic or loosely structured societies, they developed permanent settlements with planned architecture, ceremonial centers, and marketplaces. This period saw the rise of San José Mogote, one of the earliest known Zapotec centers, where the first signs of their writing system and political organization appeared. San José Mogote’s influence laid the groundwork for the later establishment of Monte Albán, which would become the heart of Zapotec power.
