What Is Neuroprosthetics

The creation of brain prostheses is the focus of the field of study known as neuroprosthetics, which is connected to both neuroscience and biomedical engineering. They are frequently contrasted with a brain?computer interface, which is a connection between the brain and a computer rather than a device aimed to replace lost biological functions. Brain?computer interfaces have become more popular in recent years.

    This bundle contains three titles.
    - General Relativity
    - Special Relativity
    - Relativity and Cosmology
The vastness of the universe and the mysteries of space and time have fascinated humanity for centuries. The theories of relativity, both special and general, have revolutionized our understanding of the cosmos, offering insights into the nature of gravity, space-time curvature, and the behavior of objects at speeds near that of light.
Together with cosmology, the study of the universe’s origins, structure, and eventual fate, these fields provide a unified framework for understanding the physical laws that govern everything from the smallest particles to the largest galaxies. This collection delves into the principles that shape our universe, uncovering the deep connections between relativity and cosmology.

    Multisolving - Creating Systems...

For most of Elizabeth Sawin's career, she was not a multisolver. Instead, she worked on a single, albeit immensely important problem: climate change. Despite tremendous effort, she felt like she was chasing her tail. Unless people began to recognize the multitude of unexpected benefits from ratcheting down emissions, climate change would remain a losing political issue. That experience, along with the guidance of leaders in systems thinking and racial justice, convinced her that the world's thorniest problems may be easier to tackle together than one by one. That's multisolving: using a single investment of time or money to solve many problems at the same time. Multisolving addresses the current mismatch between complex, deeply intertwined societal issues and our siloed approach to them. This unique resource is for local school boards that need revenue for their students but don't want to overtax low-income seniors. It is for nonprofits working to reduce food waste and combat the root causes of hunger while increasing racial justice. It is for seaside communities that can protect themselves from flooding while also improving biodiversity with a living coastline. It may also be for you: doing the work you know is imperative but that is sometimes overwhelming, a tiny drop in a swirling ocean.

In an effort to decrease the prevalence over the next 10 years, the author shares this book with both parents and medical teams who care for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The author, Dr Sajani J Sukhadia, is a board certified Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician. In One in 36: A Full Spectrum Approach to Autism, Dr Sukhadia conveys clear evidence-based treatments for children with Autism. What is evidence-based? Evidence-based is applying up-to-date and current scientific information in medical practice. Additionally, in every chapter, Dr Sukhadia shares ancient practices from India which she has seen complement each of the evidence-based therapies offered by modern science. The material can be useful to individuals of all countries and offers hope for more children with Autism to outgrow their diagnosis. Advice to listeners: Make slow and steady changes in life. Slow and steady is the right method here. Slow and steady will help keep up everyone’s energy level to help the child get on the right developmental trajectory. The Cycling City - Bicycles and...

    Evan Friss

Cycling has experienced a renaissance in the United States, as cities around the country promote the bicycle as an alternative means of transportation. In the process, debates about the nature of bicycles—where they belong, how they should be ridden, how cities should or should not accommodate them—have played out in the media, on city streets, and in city halls. Very few people recognize, however, that these questions are more than a century old.

The Cycling City is a sharp history of the bicycle’s rise and fall in the late nineteenth century. In the 1890s, American cities were home to more cyclists, more cycling infrastructure, more bicycle friendly legislation, and a richer cycling culture than anywhere else in the world. Evan Friss unearths the hidden history of the cycling city, demonstrating that diverse groups of cyclists managed to remap cities with new roads, paths, and laws, challenge social conventions, and even dream up a new urban ideal inspired by the bicycle. When cities were chaotic and filthy, bicycle advocates imagined an improved landscape in which pollution was negligible, transportation was silent and rapid, leisure spaces were democratic, and the divisions between city and country were blurred. Friss argues that when the utopian vision of a cycling city faded by the turn of the century, its death paved the way for today’s car-centric cities—and ended the prospect of a true American cycling city ever being built.
