Sinossi

What is Enlightenment Age

An intellectual and philosophical movement that took place in Europe, particularly Western Europe, during the 17th and 18th centuries known as the Age of Enlightenment or the Enlightenment, also known as the Age of Reason, was a movement that had global ramifications and repercussions. The Enlightenment encompassed a wide range of concepts that centered on the importance of human happiness, the pursuit of knowledge that was obtained through the use of reason and the evidence of the senses, and ideals such as natural law, liberty, progress, toleration, fraternity, constitutional government, and the separation of church and state.

Recent years have seen a growing recognition of the role that White Christian Nationalism plays in American society. As White Christian Nationalism has become a major force, and as racial and religious attitudes become increasingly aligned among whites—for example, the more likely you are to say that the decline of white people as a share of the population is "bad for society," the more likely you are to believe the government should support religious values—it has become reasonable to wonder which of the adjectives in the phrase "White Christian Nationalism" takes precedence.

In this book, Michael O. Emerson and Glenn E. Bracey II respond definitively: the answer is "white." The majority of white Christians in America, they argue, are believers in a "Religion of Whiteness" that shapes their faith, their politics, and more. The Religion of Whiteness, they argue, raises the perpetuation of racial inequality to a level of spiritual commitment that rivals followers' commitment to Christianity itself.

Using national survey data, in-depth interviews, and focus group results gathered over several years, Emerson and Bracey show how the Religion of Whiteness shapes the practice of Christianity for millions of Americans—and what can be done to confront it.

Love, in all its forms, is the cornerstone of human connection. From the moment we are born, our ability to form meaningful relationships is shaped by the experiences we have with those closest to us. These early interactions create an emotional blueprint that influences how we perceive love, trust others, and navigate relationships throughout our lives. While we may not always be conscious of these influences, they run deep, silently informing our choices and behaviors in ways that often feel instinctive.

At the heart of understanding love lies the concept of attachment. The bonds we form with caregivers in childhood provide the foundation for our emotional development. A child who feels consistently supported and valued is likely to grow into an adult with the capacity for healthy, secure relationships. Conversely, a lack of stability or warmth in these early years can leave emotional scars, leading to patterns of avoidance, anxiety, or disorganization in adulthood. These patterns are not fixed but can be understood, explored, and ultimately transformed with insight and effort.

This book is an invitation to explore how your early experiences have shaped your understanding of love and relationships. By delving into the science of attachment, family dynamics, and emotional development, we aim to uncover the ways in which childhood molds our ability to connect with others. You will learn how unconscious patterns from your past may resurface in your adult relationships, sometimes creating challenges that seem impossible to overcome.

    BREAKING BAD
THE ULTIMATE TRIVIA AND CURIOUS FACTS COLLECTION

    CREATED BY TRIVIA HUB

Breaking Bad is a critically acclaimed American crime drama created by Vince Gilligan, following Walter White, a chemistry teacher who turns to making meth to secure his family's future after a cancer diagnosis. The show, set in Albuquerque, explores themes of morality, family, and the consequences of choices. Bryan Cranston's portrayal of Walter earned widespread praise, as did the show's accurate depiction of chemistry and meth production. The series also includes symbolism, like the pink teddy bear, and its use of color to enhance storytelling. Breaking Bad has become one of the most acclaimed television shows of all time, spawning a franchise that includes Better Call Saul and El Camino.

    CURIOUS FACT SAMPLES:

The show's title, "Breaking Bad," is a Southern colloquialism that means "raising hell". However, it also has a broader meaning, which can mean to "go wild" or "defy authority".

Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad, had previously worked on the science fiction series The X-Files. He wanted to create a series where the protagonist becomes the antagonist, going from "Mr. Chips into Scarface".

The initial concept for Breaking Bad was that the main characters would cook meth in an RV and drive around the country to make money. This concept came about when Gilligan was joking with a fellow X-Files writer about being unemployed.

The show was initially set to be filmed in Riverside, California, but it was moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico because of the financial incentives. The story setting was then changed to match the production's location.

The author, Sanjit Kumar Naskar, in this book titled A Critical Analysis of Judicial Appointments in India, has referred to a wide range of resources including books, online law journals, and articles from authoritative resources.Firstly, the author reviews Prof. Madhav Godbole’s book The Judiciary and Governance in India, which advocates for judicial accountability in the higher judiciary. While Prof. Godbole touches on lower judiciary transfers and politicization, he overlooks transparency in the appointment process for the lower judiciary.Secondly, the author examines Prof. V.R. Jayadevan’s PhD thesis Judicial Creativity in Constitutional Interpretation to explain the historical background of judicial appointments in the higher judiciary. The author, however, critiques Jayadevan’s acceptance of the seniority rule in appointing the CJI, countering it with Justice Katju’s arguments.Thirdly, the article The NJAC Act – Is it the Perfect Remedy? by Vikram Mishra and Ananth Balaji is analyzed, highlighting its critical view of the NJAC Act, 2014. While comprehensive, the article fails to fully recognize the Act’s salient features.Lastly, Prof. Tom S. Clark’s The Limits of Judicial Independence is discussed, where the author argues that while judicial behaviour is crucial, Clark does not adequately justify its role as an additional selection criterion for judges in the higher judiciary.
