Summary

Prepare yourself for a gripping journey into the darkest corners of the unknown with End of Days: Earth Under Alien Siege. In this chilling collection of 35 short stories, humanity faces the terrifying and relentless advance of extraterrestrial forces. The first days of the alien invasion unfold in spine-tingling detail, showcasing the shocking initial moments when the sky turns black, strange ships land, and an unrelenting terror takes root. From small rural towns to bustling cities, the world as we know it crumbles in the wake of an unprovoked attack. The survivors—ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances—must find a way to navigate the chaos, battling alien invaders and their own humanity in the process. These stories explore the very essence of survival as humans are forced into impossible choices, their lives shattered, their fears made real, and their futures uncertain. Each story offers a unique perspective on the invasion’s devastating impact. A family struggling to protect one another against an enemy that can take any form. A group of military personnel who must make their last stand in the face of overwhelming odds. A lonely survivor trying to hold onto their sanity as the world around them descends into madness. These are just a few of the heart-pounding, mind-bending scenarios that will keep you on the edge of your seat.In End of Days: Earth Under Alien Siege, expect no mercy and no escape. The invaders show no remorse as they tear through cities, control the minds of the vulnerable, and systematically erase humanity’s hold on Earth. These creatures come not only with advanced technology but with an insidious intelligence that seeks to manipulate and destroy, and the fight for survival becomes a psychological and physical battle unlike any the world has ever known. The terror is not only in the alien presence but in the breakdown of society, the erosion of hope, and the mental anguish of those left behind. The survivors are pushed to their limits, questioning what it means to be human in a world where nothing is certain, and nothing is safe. As the countdown to humanity’s extinction continues, these stories will explore how quickly the human spirit can crumble when faced with the overwhelming force of a merciless alien assault.End of Days: Earth Under Alien Siege will immerse you in a world where the very ground you stand on may not be safe, where survival is just the beginning of the horror. This is not your typical alien invasion story—it’s a visceral, dark, and unforgettable exploration of what happens when the world as we know it comes to a brutal, unforgiving end. Samuel Clemens grew up in a child's paradise--Hannibal, Missouri. There, mischief added humor to everyday events as Sam encountered the folks who would one day reappear as Huck Finn, Aunt Polly, and Becky Thatcher in his books, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. At eighteen, Sam left Hannibal to seek his fortune. He became a newspaperman and story writer. Then, always a restless spirit, he tried his hand as a steamboat pilot (where he took a liking to the riverboat call "mark twain"), a soldier, and a gold prospector. All the while, Sam collected tales to tell on stage and recount in his many books. David Collins invites readers into the fabulously exciting, endlessly entertaining world of "America's Greatest Humorist"--the beloved Mark Twain.
